Q:Do you have health insurance for pre-exisitng conditions please I need to see a doctor thank you Sirs for the information

A:
Insurance will not pay for any treatment that you know and you need coverage for before a policy is active. That would be a pre-existing condition.

Q:I am a 21 year-old Spanish student going on exchange to UCF new fall semester. I am writing to you because I am interested in your insurance service, yet don't know exactly what to do.

A:
If you are going to be attending UCF as an F1 visa holder, the Study USA Platinum plan can meet the school's requirements if you are wanting to waive the coverage they are offering through the university. There will be 3 option levels of coverage; Standard, Preferred, and Platinum. In order to meet the school's requirements you would have to choose the Platinum option.

Q:My daughter is 18 years old and a US citizen, but has been living in China the past two years. She is returning to the US from June 14th to August 26th. She will primarily be working at a summer camp. Flies into JFK in NYC, goes to summer camp. Spends a week in Philadelphia with friends before her university orientation. At that time her university insurance will take over, but I need this other time covered. She will not be returning to China. Nor do we need coverage once she starts school. We only need coverage when she is in the US from June 14th to August 28. She is a resident of Texas. She will be staying in Pennsylvania for 95% of her time in the US. What plan do you recommend for this situation?

A:
You may view the National General plan. She would be eligible with the state of residence of Texas, and the plan would provide coverage while traveling to Pennsylvania, and New York state. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:My mother-in-law has arrived in US on May 19th and will stay here with us until July 27th. Please let me know how should I pay for the basic insurance plan

A:
If your mother in law is here on a B2 Visitor Visa you can use the quote link below to find the available plans based on the state in which she is staying her age etc. /visitors-insurance/ I am not sure what you mean by basic. All plans for visitors cover new illnesses and new injuries that occur or manifest after the effective date. There are no plans on the market for visitors that cover pre-existing conditions. Some plans do have what is called an Acute onset benefit that can provide coverage in certain emergency situations due to pre-existing conditions based on the definition of acute onset as well as the attending physician report. There are Fixed Coverage limited benefit plans which pay based on a schedule of benefits for covered expenses. They have set pre-determined amount they will pay towards covered expenses and everything that goes beyond that fixed amount would be out of pocket. The Comprehensive plans cover a percentage of covered medical expenses and therefore cover a larger portion of covered expenses and can protect you from higher out of pocket costs. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:My wife and I are new Green Card holders, who spend much of the year in the US but do travel back to Canada for 3 - 5 months per year. We pay taxes in the US and I have worked part time for a US company under a TN visa for 3.5 years. I have paid into Social Security for over 8 years, but will not qualify for Medicare until December 2021. Our current ages are 68 (John) and 67 (Christine). Up until now we have been covered under the Canadian Health Ins. program with a travel supplement, however as of next month we will need US Health coverage to take us thru the next two years until we are eligible for Medicare. We are both in good health and would like to talk with someone who is knowledgeable in our best options. Thanks

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The Bridge plan is available to a green card holder that is not eligible for Medicare. Once they become eligible they will need to at that time enroll. In order to receive a quote you will have to submit an application for coverage as this plan is underwritten for coverage and rates determined accordingly. Typically if someone is eligible for Medicare Part A they will be able to enroll into Part B as well and will need to do so. The application for the Bridge plan is attached within this email for your review. If you need receipts for previous plans you will need to send an email with the certificate numbers of the policy you need. If you need any additional assistance please contact our office.
