Q:I am a US citizen living abroad. I am not a resident of the US, and have residency in another country. I have an annual health plan but this plan does not cover me for short trips home to the US. I have an upcoming trip to the US and need to purchase a short term emergency medical travel insurance plan. Will you please advise which plan I might be eligible for? The first time I used your site, it said there were "no results" for someone in my situation. I tried again a few days later and the quote came up with a Liaison International plan. I contacted them to double check, and they said that US citizens are no eligible for their plans. Will you please clarify, and recommend a plan that fits my needs?

A:
You can purchase Diplomat America plan. You get the plan on our website depends on what policy max. you choose. Both plan will provide coverage for USC whose home country is outside US and need coverage in US for a short period of time. Both plan go by home country NOT Citizenship. You can find those information in the policy. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Q:Questions on the quote 90 y/o (Safe Travels for Visitors to the USA $528 for 2 persons, both 69 y/o. Aug 12, 20117 - Feb 3, 2018) - co-insurance? copay? - maximum out of pocket? - all US states covered? - prescription medications covered? - any in-network hospitals/providers? - dental/vision coverage? - urgent care covered? - pre-existing conditions covered?

A:
The Safe Travels for Visitors USA plan will cover the insureds all over the U.S. The plan participates in the First Health PPO network, and we have included a link so you may search for urgent care providers in your area. Short term health insurance plans for visitors are designed to cover new illnesses, injuries or accidents which occur after the effective date of the policy. They will not cover pre-existing conditions, routine doctors' visits, or preventative treatments. This plan will provide coverage for an Acute Onset of a Pre-existing Condition. Since the Safe Travels for Visitors to USA plan is a fixed coverage plan, there is no concept of a copayment or coinsurance. The plan will pay a fixed amount as per the schedule of benefits, and you are responsible to pay the difference. The plan will pay the fixed amounts listed in the schedule up to the policy maximum limit. Visitors Insurance plans generally do not cover dental or vision, however, this plan provides a benefit in the event of a dental accident related emergency. We do offer a dental/vision discount plan by the name of Careington we would recommend reviewing. If you have any additional questions please let us know. You may also obtain assistance by contacting our office at (866) INSUBUY.

Q:Hi there, sorry to bother, I am trying to buy a insurance for me and my families as J1 and J2 scholar status (one year) in Oregon, U.S. As I understand, the insurance in Insubuy for J should meet the requirement of U.S. government of which on condition is "medical benefits of at least per accident or illness", while Maximum Coverage($100,000.00 for example) of the atlas insurance showed in Insubuy, which I understand from the using guidance is the maximum beneficent for one certificate period (e.g. 1 year), not the benefits for per illness. I am totally confused. Would someone please help me to solve the confusion?

A:
You can purchase Atlas Exchange plan. For Atlas America plan is also says $100k overall policy max. and it's per incident also. Please find the certificate wording at Atlas America Insurance Coverage Details. You can also look at Patriot Exchange plan. All of the plan above meets standard J1 visa requirements. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
