Q:Which insurance would cover screening for tuberculosis?

A:
Unfortunately, pre-existing conditions preventative care or rutine maintanance are not covered under any plan designed for visitors. Most plans on our website will include the Acute Onset benefit. An "Acute Onset of a Pre-Existing Condition" is a sudden and unexpected outbreak or recurrence of a Pre-Existing Condition(s) which occurs spontaneously and without advance warning either in the form of Physician recommendations or symptoms, is of short duration, is rapidly progressive, and requires immediate care. The Acute Onset of a Pre-Existing Condition must occur after the effective date of the policy. Treatment must be obtained within 24 hours of the sudden and unexpected outbreak or recurrence. A Pre-Existing Condition that is a chronic or congenital condition or that gradually becomes worse over time will not be considered Acute Onset. This benefit does not include coverage for known, scheduled, required, or expected medical care, drugs or Treatments existent or necessary prior to the Effective Date of coverage.

Q:what is PPO network and what is deductable

A:
A PPO Network is a list of providers that are contracted to offer "network negotiated rates". These "network negotiated rates" will be less expense than a provider that is not contracted with the network, as those providers are allowed to set whichever price they wish for their services. PPO Networks can be very beneficial in reducing the medical cost incurred. Deductible is the amount you pay from your pocket prior to the plan pay as per its schedule of benefits or coinsurance. Should you have additional questions or need further assistance, it would be recommended to contact our office at +1 (866) 467-8289.

Q:If I test positive for covid abroad and am not allowed to re-enter the US, and I need to delay, but that country does not impose a "quarantine", just a recommendation to isolate, is my trip delay in that country covered?

A:
In that case, your physician needs to order to quarantine for the insurance to be covered.

Q:My dad is visiting US and he's 82 years old. I;d like to have higher coverage upto 300K. However, the insurance only offers upto 100K. And I buy two additional insurances (total 3) so can have 300K coverage?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. You can buy an additional insurance, but you cannot repurchase the same policy. For example, you can purchase the International Major Medical, and the Safe Travels USA Comprehensive plan. This will give you a combined coverage in the amount of $150,000 for both policies. In the event of a claim, both plans will coordinate benefits with each other. If you have any additional questions, please contact our office at +1 (866) INSUBUY 467-8289.
