Q:My husband and I want to rent a condo in Florida from 1/1/2021-2/1/2021. The realty company offers no refund within 90 days of the rental. We are concerned about the possibility of travel interruptions or restrictions due to the Covid virus. We are driving and the condo rental costs $6100. Can you advise us? Thank you.

A:
Some trip insurance plans are available to U.S. citizens or U.S.residents that include a benefit called, cancel for any reason. This benefit is available on a select couple of plans if the initial trip deposit date is made within 10 days or 20 days, depending on the plan, of the date of purchase of the policy. Cancel for any reason benefit is the only benefit available with trip cancellation insurances that can cover for cancellation due to Covid-19 related issues. The cancel for any reason benefit can reimburse up to 75% of non-refundable trip costs. You can review those plans here: /travel-insurance/ If you are past the 10 days or 20 days, there would not be a plan available that can provide benefits. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:Hi - We had purchased Travel Insurance through InsuBuy for my mother. Policy name " Safe Travels USA Comprehensive ", this insurance uses First Health PPO Network. We found list of urgent cares on their website such as "access medical associates, branchburg ", AFC urgent care Bound brook New Jersey. Both of these urgent care's were listed as In-network urgent care for First Health PPO Network, however they refused the traveler medical insurance. Why In-Network Urgent cares are not accepting Traveler medical insurance ? What should patient do in this case ? Should we pay and then file for reimbursement

A:
Direct billing and in network are two different things. A provider can be in network and not accept the insurance. It is up to the provider if they want to direct bill the insurance company or have you pay up front and file the claim yourself. If you do pay up front, you would access the claim forms through My Account on the Insubuy website. /myaccount/ If the provider has left the network you would either have the non-negotiated rates and need to meet the deductible first or go to a different provider. You can ask providers over the phone if they are in network as you would always want to confirm as providers can come and go from a network throughout the year and you can also ask them if they direct bill as well. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
