Q:Hi, I'm from Argentina. I'll be visiting the USA from Feb 21 to March 21. I'll be practicing ski at Vermont and Colorado. I'm 51. Travel insurance plans in Argentina cover up to $10000 in case of accidents practicing sports. I would like to see if you have plans that cover those events better. Any further information you may need to answer please let me know. Thanks in advance.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. We do have a plan that will cover skiing up to the amount you choose. The Atlas America plan will cover snow skiing as long as it is recreational downhill and/or cross country. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I'm looking at the Atlas plan. Do you know if the payment is monthly or yearly?

A:
The Atlas plan is renewable. You initially purchase for any duration, and then extend the insurance coverage month by month as needed. If you require proof to present to your sponsoring organization then you will have to purchase all at one time.

Q:Me, husband and 6 year old daughter are going to Fort Lauderdale now in February to pick up a 7 day caribbean cruise (stops in San Juan, Labadee and Saint Marteen) and after that we will spend 5 days in Florida. We are brazilian. I haven't found any information about cruises. What is the better option of insurance for us? I am particularly interested in medical urgences and funeral (remains) repatriation coverage. I don't really care about trip interruption and baggage loss.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. There is a plan called Atlas America that will cover you anywhere outside of your home country as well as during your cruise. This considered to be a family friendly plan and will cover your child at no additional cost. Please use the link listed below to review the plan and generate a quote for coverage. Atlas America If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I am a Chinese citizen and currently studying in New Zealand. I will travel to Zurich, Switzerland for a month and I am interested in the Schengen visa insurance you provided. When I looked for the Switzerland embassy website in Wellington, they require the insurance: "contracted with a society whose headquarter or branch is in Switzerland, Liechtenstein or in a member of the European Union or the EFTA" Could I inquiry if your insurance meets this requirements?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. There is plan called Atlas International that will meet the standard Schengen visa requirements. The visa letter will also state the related entities that are located within the Schengen territories. If you need any additional assistance please contact our office.

Q:So I had question while filling the form for ExchangeGuard. What should my answer be for the home country? Should be my country of citizenship or the country that I reside in? Because the description for home country says "The country where you principally reside and receive regular mail" which for me is the US but US isn't part of the drop down list.

A:
Per the application, your home country would be the country of citizenship in order to obtain coverage in the U.S. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. If you are on F or J visa, obviously, your home country is not the US. Even though you feel like you "live" in the US, technically, you are only temporarily in the US to study or other similar purpose. You traveled from your permanent residence country to the US here does not mean now you are now considered a resident of the US.

Q:I am looking for a suitable insurance plan. I'm residing in USA on OPT. I have moved here 4 years ago. Please suggest some suitable insurance plans. I need coverage in Indiana(So this covers even when I travel across the US right?). My prior insurance was also with Insubuy. It expired on 31th December, 2018. My previous policy was Exchange Guard.

A:
We would recommend the ExchangeGuard plan. This plan will cover you in Indiana as well anywhere outside of your home country. As long as you are on OPT you are eligible to repurchase this plan. You may use the link provided to purchase. You may also purchase over the phone by contacting our office at (866) INSUBUY.
