Q:Looking for travel insurance for my grandmother visiting the US. She is 94 and I am not clear as to what plans will cover her. I got a message saying she is not eligible for the Safe Travels USA comprehensive plan.

A:
Due to her age you would have more limited plans and policy maximum options. Please see the below plans that can offer coverage at lower policy maximums. Atlas America Maximum coverage: $10,000Patriot Platinum America Maximum coverage: $20,000

Q:We are travelling to Greece on May 02 2020 returning on June 08 2020. Trip was paid for in October 2019. Value of $17,000 AUD for 2 travelers. Ages female 66 years, and spouse male 71 years. We are seeking insurance with your company, in view of the Corona Virus not abating. We would like to change our travelling dates, and move them to September. What comprehensive insurance can you offer please? How long to receive that cover, in order we can claim and make the changes to our bookings. regards

A:
If you already need to change your travel dates there is no travel insurance for that. It is a clear loss.

Q:My parents visiting US for a few months. I would like to get health insurance for them. Could you please provide detail information about health insurance coverage? Will the insurance cover emergency visit?

A:
Hello, You can run quotes for those plans through our Visitor Insurance plan. When you are filling out the quote screen you will want to choose coverage area as International including U.S.A. That means that the plans that will be provided within the quotes will offer coverage in the U.S. and anywhere outside of the insureds home country. Therefore you would have coverage anywhere in the world including during travel. As far as emergency visits As long as it is for an eligible reason (not excluded) emergency visits would be covered. Please look at the details of each plan regarding how much the coverage is and any conditions around it. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need any additional assistance.

Q:Do you have some plans for pre existing condition . If yes then how much is the max coverage and deductible

A:
There are plans available which will provide coverage for an acute onset of pre-existing condition. This defined as a sudden and unexpected outbreak or recurrence of pre-existing condition which occurs spontaneously without any advance warning and treatment must be received within 24 hours of the initial symptoms. The final determination is made by the claims department using the attending physician statement and medical records. If the situation meets the acute onset definition the plan will provide coverage up to the limit specified in the policy. Please use the link provided below to view an FAQ regarding this benefit.
