Q:Hello my name is Thida Jira. I am an international student who wants to purchase the health insurance from your company. I am studying in USF(University of San Francisco). I'm studying summer program in USF school of Management for 2 months from now until 11Aug2017. I am wondering if I buy the "Atlas Exchange" insurance plan, Does Atlas Exchange Plan have the limit on the number of months I purchase? Because I see the 6-months and 12-months. I only need 2 months of Atlas Exchange Plan from 13 June 2017- 11 August 2017.

A:
You can purchase the Atlas Exchange plans for any duration that you would like provided it meets your Universities requirements for coverage. The 6 and 12 month periods you are seeing refers to a pre-existing waiting period not the allotted duration. You can purchase for 2 months if you need it for that duration. If you need any additional clarification please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I need the insurance plan that meets these requirements; Criteria to waive the health insurance requirement Please be advised all health plans will be reviewed by the University insurance broker to ensure the plan meets USF requirements. - Policy must be in English - Health plan must be provided by a U.S based insurance company, with a U.S claims payment office and phone number - Policy must include accident and medical coverage (include illness/preventive care, prescription, no limit on hospital stay/emergency room except for the co-insurance and deductible) - Health plan must offer unlimited policy year benefit maximum - Deductible no greater than $200 dollars - Medical evacuation minimum of $10,000 in coverage - Repatriation minimum of $7,500 in coverage - Pre-existing conditions must be covered - Health plan must have an annual out of pocket maximum of $6,350(individual)/$12,700(family) or less - Includes provision for co-insurance that does not exceed 20% - Coverage cannot exclude benefits for perils inherent to the activities of the program in which the visitor participates - Plan must cover hospital stay for all medical, surgical and mental health/substance abuse conditions without limitations As USF recommend me to use ISO insurance plan for international student, but the rule of ISO is that i have to purchase for the 5 months plan and for the total it costs $800 almost $900 for the age of 25 and it doesn't make sense for me to pay that much because ill be here for only 2 months. Please suggest me with your insurance plan for international J1 visa student(from 13 June 2017-11 Aug 2017 (2 months).

A:
Unfortunately, there is no way to meet those requirements without purchasing the plan from your university. There is no plan available on the market that will meet the requirements as listed. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I looked at the two quotes in the emails you sent (one for me, USC, and two USC children). One for my wife who is US permanent resident. Do we have to purchase separately because she is not USC? I did not see in the quote where to put in the citizenship of the person, so I was curious if that was a requirement. I think we would like the $250,000 max policy (I saw I can change the limitations myself, but I did not know if that changed anything else with the policy). Thank you for your continued assistance with this. We will be purchasing in the next 48 hours because our trip starts the 15th of June.

A:
You have to process separate application for your wife. Your wife will not be eligible to purchase Diplomat America plan. You have to purchase International major medical plan for her. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Q:I am an Indian citizen residing in Mumbai, India. I am male. My date of birth is 10/10/1949. I am going for Mansarovar Pilgrimage through Delhi-Lipulekh route in June/July 2017 subject to medical clearance. I will leave my home around 3pm of 19/6/2017 and go by train to Delhi for medical test and other formalities. My medical test will be on 21/6/2017. My travel will be permitted or rejected on 22-23/6/2017 depending upon result of medical test. My journey to Mansarovar from Delhi will start on 24/6/2017 early morning. I will be returning to Mumbai on 16/7/2017. Can you cover me for medical treatment in case of sickness or accident? What else will come in the package? Suppose I fall sick before end of my cover viz.16/7/2017 and require long hospitalization after the end of cover, will I be getting treatment and allied cost if my cover ends on 16/7? Do you give life insurance or is it merely health package? Do you have an office in Mumbai? How do you pay the claim in eventuality of treatment of sickness or accident in Indian hospital or clinic? What will be the premium? Will you suggest any better plan?

A:
You can purchase Atlas International plan which will provide your coverage outside your home country. Please look at Kailash Mansarovar Yatra insurance for more information. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions. We are located in Dallas, TX in USA. We don't have any office in India.

Q:I'm interested in getting a medical insurance. My trip is scheduled for October 3rd, 2017 through October 18th, 2017. Destination is France + other Schengen states (TBD). After perusing your website, I'm interested in getting the "Liaison International" plan with the $0 deductible. My question is after I looked at the sample ID card and Visa Letter, it does not mention anywhere about paying directly the providers in the Schengen countries. The info from the consulate is quoted below: "Please check carefully whether your medical insurance will pay directly the providers in the Schengen countries for emergency medical expenses, emergency hospitalization and repatriation for medical reasons or death. Many US medical insurance companies reimburse the costs of emergency medical treatment abroad but do not pay directly the providers. These policies will not be accepted as proof of medical insurance. We invite you to have a letter from your insurer indicating that payments will be made directly to the provider (Schengen States or worldwide)." Can you provide letter stating that the policy pays the providers directly?

A:
You can purchase Safe Travels international plan. Please find more information and sample visa letter by clicking on the link provided. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
