Q:Can I buy Atlas Travel insurance for my parents if they are holding (B1/B2 VISA)? They have already here in US; and I want to buy health insurance for them when they are in US. I checked online, and it seems that this insurance can only be used by those who are J1 or F1 type visa. Could you give me some information on which product to buy? They have pre-existing conditions and i am looking for a product to cover the emergency situation, just in case.

A:
Your parents are eligible to purchase the Atlas America plan based on the information provided. Short term health insurance plans for visitors are designed to cover only any new illness, injury or accident which occurs after the effective date of the policy. The plans will not cover a pre-existing condition, routine doctors visit, immunizations, or medications in relation to a pre-existing condition. The Atlas America does provide coverage for the acute onset of a pre-existing condition up to the policy maximum you select. Please use the links above to review the plan details. You may purchase online or over the phone by contacting our office at (866) 467-8289.

Q:My parents are coming next month. I want full coverage for them.

A:
As a broker we provide insurance from many companies. You will not find any insurance for an international visitor which provides full coverage. You can purchase either fixed coverage plan or comprehensive coverage plan. Comprehensive plan will provide you better coverage and it's very similar to our domestic short term insurance. Please feel free to contact us while review the plan details.
