Q:which policy covers accommodation due to covid, if quarantine is necessary?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The plans are designed to cover the new illnesses and injuries that manifest after the effective date of the policy and exclude coverage for pre-existing conditions, preventative and routine care. The plans that include coverage for COVID-19 will treat it as any other new illness, should it have manifested in the body after the effective date of the policy. There is not a plan available that will include coverage for lodging, or the non-medical expenses due to quaratine. Should you have addtiional questions please let us know.

Q:I am an Intl. student on F1 visa. I was studying in UCR for my MS degree. I have completed by coursework , but I still have one quarter left to file and complete my project(still a full time F1 student). Since I am not charged any tuition fees for this quarter, I am not enrolled in University plan and thus looking for a good comprehensive plan. I have been outside US since December due to a family emergency and then due to Covid. So I will be travelling back to US in September. Which insurance am I eligible for. Should I take take travellere insurance or the normal insurance?

A:
If your university does not have any requirements for coverage any of the plans in the International student section of the website would be available to you ad a F1 visa holder. If you have requirement that your university has provided that need to be met you can send them to info@insubuy.com and we will be happy to make plan recomnedations accordingly.

Q:Dual citizenship US-Canada. ( age 76 ). Now residing in Quebec and covered locally by the Quebec System + I have a yearly, 8 days, multi-trips health travel Insurance with Blue Cross of Canada. One of my medications is about to change, voiding one coverage for 3 months. I am looking for short multi trips policy for visits to the US Regards

A:
There would not be a multi trip policy that we could offer to you for your travels. There is however are policies called Patriot America and Diplomat America that will cover you for your trips to the United States but the plan would need to be purchased for each of your travels to the U.S.

Q:I recently visited the ER, they accepted my insurance but I have not heard from either the hospital or my insurance. Does this mean that the costs were covered? Or should I expect some sort of bill/brakdown of what was covered and what was not soon?

A:
When claims are filed the insurance company will reach out to the insured for any additional information needed regarding claims. As part of the claims process you will receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) that will tell you what is or isn't covered regarding your claim. It can take anywhere from 6-8 weeks for claims to process.
