Q:I'm looking to purchase a 2 month comprehensive medical policy which can cover for Covid 19 treatment for a healthy 55 year old family member who will be visiting from outside the US. I'm debating between the Atlas America versus Patriot America Plus plans ($1 million policy with a $2,500 deductible). Besides the extra $100 cost for the Atlas America, the other downside seems to be that you have to get medical care within 24 hours for the acute onset of a pre-existing condition. The only upside for the Atlas America plan seems to be that it covers 100% after the deductible even for out-of network. Is there any other benefit for the Atlas American plan such as fewer claim denials, etc? Thank you!
