Q:I have a question about Atlas Travel Insurance. Is it allowed for the SSU Spanish student VISA? I'm worried because I heard that today in order to get VISA, the insurance company should be based in UK.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. If for purposes of a visa for a Schengen country you are required to show an office with the UK we do have some plans that will meet this need. If you could please verify your country of citizenship, if the U.S. please verify your resident state and the dates of coverage needed, we can make a recommendation for coverage accordingly. We look forward to hearing from you.

Q:I was looking at the Atlas America insurance and had a couple of questions. I noticed you are unable to apply while residing in Australia. Would you be able to apply once in the US? (California) Also, it says it does not cover snow skiing except recreational downhill skiing. Does that include standard skiing?

A:
The Atlas America plan is not available for purchase while you are physically located in the country of Australia. You are able to purchase the plan after arrival into the state of California. The plan does offer coverage for Snow Skiing and Snowboarding. The certificate wording states it will offer coverage for the following: Snow Skiing and Snowboarding, EXCEPT recreational downhill and/or cross country snow skiing or snowboarding ( no cover provided while skiing away from prepared and marked in-bound territories and/or against the advice of the local ski school or local authoritative body) So the Atlas America plan will cover snow skiing but not recreational downhill. If you need any additional clarification please contact our office.
