Q:We are US Citizens currently living in India for the last 7 years. Planning to travel to US by end of April with one way ticket. Stay in US is not decided yet. It might be 15 days to one month. Need medical insurance (which includes pre-existing conditions) which covers during AIR travel and during US stay. Policy should be extendable if required. What options do I have?

A:
Visitors Protect is the only plan that offers coverage for pre-existing conditions, but it still cannot be known, expected, or routine treatment. Please be advised that it does has a 90 day minimum purchase and is not extendable. It has $1500 deductible built into the plan for anything relating to a pre-existing condition. It also must be purchased before the insured has left their home country. Other plans, like Atlas America or Patriot America Plus, do offer the Acute onset of pre-existing conditions and are extendable. If you would like to learn more about the Acute Onset of Pre-existing Conditions please click the hyperlink. You can run a quote in the Visitors to U.S.A. section of the website to see what plans are available. If you have any additional questions please let us know.

Patriot America Plus is popular plan for ages under 70. Atlas America is a bit more popular for ages over 80. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:Do you cover for Canada and USA visitors

A:
Yes. If you are visiting the US on a B1 or B2 visitors visa you would be welcome to run a quote in the Visitors to U.S.A. section of the website. Please select "International including USA" when running a quote to insure the plan will cover you in Canada as well. This will not affect the price of your premium.
