Q:I am a greencard holder and my 9 month old daughter is US citizen. How should I purchase visitor insurance for our family as we hold different citizenship?

A:
You would need to purchase separate plans. You and your child would only be eligible for plans in the visiting with green card plans if visiting the US and not staying here. If you provide previous policy number will be glad to assist you.

Q:Hi, I am looking for a comprehensive plan that has coverage and good network in Southern California. The visitors are aged above 70 and I am looking for something that has the option for preexisting condition coverage. can someone kindly help me guide through the pans and a comparison of different plans?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. You can find all of the available plans in the visitor to USA section of our website /visitors-insurance/. The plan we would recommend is the Atlas America plan since that plan includes coverage for the Acute Onset of a pre-existing condition. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I currently have First Health international student health insurance till 26th June 2019. I will be joining classes soon at USC and would like to know if this plan or any other plan will meet the university student health insurance waiver requirements. Will you please fill the attached excel file. It contains all the university requirements to waive the USC Student Health Insurance Plan.

A:
Unfortunately, the plan you have is not going to meet the new requirements you have attached. To be able to meet their requirements you will have to purchase the plan they offer since it says the plan has to be ACA compliant and the only way to have that type of plan is through the university.

Q:I am looking for travel health insurance for my niece (11 yrs old) and nephew (7 yrs old) that would cover USA and Canada and it would include coverage for water sports (all just for fun) and swimming and paddle boarding and hiking (not anything extreme, just on easy trails). They are from Slovakia and they will be visiting me in the state of Washington for 44 days. They will travel from 6/26 to 8/8. I would like the limit to be $1mil. I would just buy it online, but it is not clear to me if the water activities are covered.

A:
We would recommend the Atlas America plan, as it will cover them anywhere in the world outside of their home country including during travel, and it includes Hazardous sports coverage. The specific items, like swimming, paddle boarding, the beginner hiking would be covered. I have attached the certificate wording link for the plan below, which will list the things (on page 22) that would not be covered. This should give you a good idea of what could be. You can purchase Atlas America If you have any additional questions, or need any further assistance, please let us know.

Q:For the suggested Atlas America- I looked up the First Health PPO Network providers in my zip code- 94706, and i called the first urgent care center - Concentra Urgent Care in Berkeley. As suggested on your website i mentioned that i have First Health PPO insurance and asked whether they accepted it. They do not accept this insurance. Could you please help me find urgent care centers in my area that accept this insurance?

A:
It's up to the provider if they bill directly. If they say they don't accept this insurance that just means that you would pay out of pocket and file a claim for reimbursement. If you find one that says they don't bill directly then they may when you actually need to go.
