Q:I am Talal and I am on J1 visa in United States attending University. I want to have insurance for my wife who is on J2. My question is that her Visa expires in August 2019 ,so do I need to get her insurance till August 2019 according to her visa date or can I get her insurance till the December 2019 as she is going to stay with me till December 2019 based on the fact that my studies would complete by December 2019. Let me know if the insurance dates are also dependent on Visa or DS-2019 form dates.What would be the best option for me. She arrived in US on 20th Jan 2019.She will not be extending her Visa but she is going to have New DS form issued from the Fulbright in August 2019 which will be I guess valid through December 2019. There are some requirements by State Department for J2 health insurance which should be met. I think your web does includes those requirements.
