Q:Hi I am traveling in Myanmar at the moment. I would like to know more information about the international insurance. In case any emergency occurred, which facility( clinic or hospital) can we refer to for help? Thanks.

A:
We would be glad to assist. We have plans for travel outside your home country, as long as coming to the U.S. is not part of your travel. You can run quotes for those plans through this link: /travel-health-insurance/ The facilities would depend on the plan chosen. However, be advised the plans cover for new illnesses and new injuries that occur or manifest after the effective date. They do not cover things that are preventative, routine, or pre-existing. Some plans do include Acute onset benefits of pre-existing conditions and I have attached the information link below to explain that benefit option. If something were already going on at the time of the application, those things would not be covered under any plan. If you have additional questions, please let us know.

Q:We live overseas, but my daughter who is a US citizen will be coming to the states to study for college. I was wondering if there is any insurance plan you offer for people in her situation and if so how much would it cost per month? or - What is the title of the plan so that I can possibly look up the options?

A:
If your daughter is coming to the U.S. to attend University they will offer her insurance through the school. That would be the recommended option. If for some reason the school does not offer coverage she would be eligible for domestic insurance through the Healthcare Exchange in the state in which she will be residing and once arriving would have to contact them to enroll. This would be the 2nd recommended option. Depending on the state that she is coming to we do have a short term medical plan that she may be able to enroll into however it is not ACA compliant meaning that it covers for new illnesses and new injuries that occur or manifest after the effective date. The plan will not cover things that are preventative routine or pre-existing. You can check the Geographic restrictions plan link to verify if it will be available in the state in which she will attend school. Please be advised that the university may have requirements when it comes to the insurance plans the students have. They may require an ACA compliant plan and if they do then you would have to opt for the plan offered through the school.

Q:Hi there Can you please send me a letter confirming my insurance plan for my Visa appointment? The appointment is tomorrow so it would be great if you could send the letter ASAP. I have purchased Safe Travels Single Trip plan.

A:
Please be advised that the Trip Insurance you have purchased does not provide a visa letter and is not applicable for the Schengen visa. The plans you would need for obtaining a visa letter would be located in our Schengen section All of the plans in this section meet the requirements for the Schengen visa and we do advise choosing the $0 deductible to avoid visa rejection. Once you purchase the policy, you will receive a confirmation email within 30 minutes and will then be able to access and print your visa letter for your appointment at the consulate tomorrow. If you wish to cancel the plan you have now you can do so by logging into My Account on the Insubuy website. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:I would like to get insurance compliant with schengen visa requirement plus the travel cancellation benefit. Do you have such offerings?

A:
We have plans that can meet the Schengen requirements and you can run quotes for those plans through this link: /schengen-visa-insurance/ All of the plans in our Schengen section, meet all requirements. As far as the travel cancellation benefit, I am not sure what you are referring to. If you purchase an insurance and are denied a visa for example as long as you cancel the insurance before the effective date most plans will provide a full refund. If you are talking about reimbursement for non- refundable trip costs that would fall under Trip Insurance which is something separate from the Schengen visa insurance. Those plans can be found here: /travel-insurance/ Please let us know if you have additional questions.
