Q:We are US citizens who live and work outside the US; however, we usually visit the US once a year. We have used Insubuy for our insurance needs for the past 7 or 8 years. This year, our plans are a bit different than in years past as we will depart the US on different days. My 16-year-old son and I will travel together and arrive in the US on 17 July 2019. I will depart the US on 02 August 2019. My son, however, will remain in the US for an additional 19 days, departing on 21 August 2019. My question concerns how to apply for coverage on your website. Should I make 2 separate applications -- one for me and one for my son? I have tried using your online application and, even though we are a family, there does not seem to be any way to indicate differing "end dates" of coverage. I apologize if this question seems tedious; I just want to get this right.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. You would need to purchase separate polices for you and your son since there are different dates of coverage. If you need any additional assistance please contact our office.

Q:Do you have health insurance for pre-exisitng conditions please I need to see a doctor thank you Sirs for the information

A:
Insurance will not pay for any treatment that you know and you need coverage for before a policy is active. That would be a pre-existing condition.

Q:I am a 21 year-old Spanish student going on exchange to UCF new fall semester. I am writing to you because I am interested in your insurance service, yet don't know exactly what to do.

A:
If you are going to be attending UCF as an F1 visa holder, the Study USA Platinum plan can meet the school's requirements if you are wanting to waive the coverage they are offering through the university. There will be 3 option levels of coverage; Standard, Preferred, and Platinum. In order to meet the school's requirements you would have to choose the Platinum option.

Q:My daughter is 18 years old and a US citizen, but has been living in China the past two years. She is returning to the US from June 14th to August 26th. She will primarily be working at a summer camp. Flies into JFK in NYC, goes to summer camp. Spends a week in Philadelphia with friends before her university orientation. At that time her university insurance will take over, but I need this other time covered. She will not be returning to China. Nor do we need coverage once she starts school. We only need coverage when she is in the US from June 14th to August 28. She is a resident of Texas. She will be staying in Pennsylvania for 95% of her time in the US. What plan do you recommend for this situation?

A:
You may view the National General plan. She would be eligible with the state of residence of Texas, and the plan would provide coverage while traveling to Pennsylvania, and New York state. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
