Q:Hello, I am an exchange student from Germany and need a health insurance plan for my semester abroad at the University of Cincinnati. The restriction of the University is, that the insurance plan must be U.S. based and employed by a U.S. based claims administrator. Could you tell me if the ExchangeGuard Plan would fit these requirements. Many thanks in advance.

A:
Yes, that link does have the requirements listed and unfortunately you will have to purchase the plan from the university to be able to meet their requirements. They require an ACA compliant plan and the only way a student can purchase an ACA plan is to purchase the one offered from the university. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:Hi, I'm looking to purchase a health insurance plan for my family and me. I'll be attending DigiPen Institute of Technology for my master's degree in computer science. My family consists of me (26 years old), my wife (29 years old), and my son (1 year and four months old). There is a minimum policy coverage required by this school Could you please help me check if my plan fulfills all the requirements? I also have another question regarding the cost of this plan. Is $2,689.96 a one-time payment?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Based on the requirements listed in the link you provided, since you are purchasing a $1,000,000 policy max then that should meet their requirements. The $2,689.96 is a one-time payment for the 364 days. If for some reason the school does not accept the plan you can cancel before the effective date and receive a full refund. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I am from Korea and will start my graduate study on August 19th at the University of Colorado Boulder. I am recommended to purchase an Insubuy insurance from my undergrad international advisor. I am in great need of your help with finding an affordable and good insurance plan that meets ACA (Affordable Care Act). Here, in the below, I am providing my background information for you. Country: South Korea (Republic of Korea) Date of Birth: February 26, 1994 Visa Status: F-1 The school I will be attending: Univerisity of Colorado Boulder The starting date of insurance: August 19th (or a few days before) Must include: ACA (Affordable Care Act)

A:
We would be glad to assist, and we do offer insurance for F1 visa holders. However, our plans are not ACA compliant. The only insurance that would be ACA compliant that would be available to you, would be the insurance offered through your university which is a domestic insurance. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
