Q:Can I give birth in the US? I am 2 months pregnant and already have a correspondent with a doctor in Texas. I can pay for all insurance and other unplanned expenses that raises. I am planning on getting a childbirth visa. I don't mind being guided properly by Insubuy as I have not been privileged to travel before.

A:
Unfortunately, "childbirth visa" is not a valid visa status as this type of visa does not exist. There is not an insurance that you could purchase to cover the cost any maternity or delivery related expenses for your pregnancy. If you are planning to have a baby in the United States this would be an expense that you would pay for out of pocket.

Q:I'm looking for a visitor insurance for my mom (traveling from India) aged 71 years, with a pre-existing condition (diabetes, BP, also needs regular blood tests). After some research, I've narrowed my choices down to Cover America Gold, Patriot America Plus and Trawick International USA Comprehensive, because of their higher coverage for PEx-Cs. I was hoping that you can answer the following queries for me. - Can you please give any more insight into which one is best among these three, with the best coverage network (in South Bay Area, CA) and the least deductible and premiums? - What is the typical deductible for a $50K or a $100K policy? - Also, what is the suggested policy limit I should take for her? Will $50,000 maximum coverage suffice in the event of hospitalization, or is it advisable to go up to $100K? - My father, aged 81, is quite fit and has no health issues. Which insurance would you suggest in this case, considering that he won't be needing any PEC coverage?

A:
With the information that you have provided we would recommend the Trawick International US Comprehensive plan as this plan will cover an acute onset of a pre-existing condition. The Safe Travels USA Comprehensive plan will cover an acute onset of a pre-existing condition for someone over the age of 70 up to $25,000. You can find more information about an acute onset of a pre-exiting condition using the link listed below. Acute Onset FAQ The First Health PPO network that the plan participates in is a very extensive PPO network and will have a vast variety of providers all throughout the United States. You can view the PPO network using the search link below. PPO network search: The deductible is the amount that you agree to pay before the insurance begins to pay its portion. The quoting system will automatically default to a $250 deductible but you can select whichever deductible best suits your situation. The Safe Travels USA Comprehensive plan is only available at $50,000 at her age. We would recommend the same plan for your father as well. If you are interested in a plan without the acute onset coverage we would recommend taking a look at the Patriot America plan. Patriot America brochure

Q:My mother will be travelling to US to Visit me for 4 months. She has undergone angioplasty last year. I want to buy a comprehensive insurance policy which would give me cover for any heart related emergency problems. Will the policy cover any emergency heart related problem? I want to emphasize on the word emergency here. Or will it be considered as preexisting condition and no cover will be provided for the same. Please let me know of the comprehensive plans that would provide healthcare cover along with the above said

A:
The plans are designed to cove the new accidents and new illness that happen after the effective date of the policy. The plans will not cover pre-existing conditions, routine doctor's visit, immunizations, nor any medications as it relates to medications. Some plans will cover for what is called an Acute Onset of a pre-existing condition. For those under the age of 69 it will be covered up to the chosen policy maximum. For those 70 and above there is one plan that will cover an acute onset of a pre-existing condition up to $25,000.

Q:I'm interested in WORLDWIDE THEFT coverage. I'm planning to insure my Macbook, which is worth approximately $2000. It's my livelihood and I can't afford to replace it if anything happens to it. I'm planning to visit some development sites in places such as Ethiopia, DRC and India, and I once had my computer stolen from me (so that's why I wanted insurance -- I won't let it happen to me again!!!) Anyway, I need to know what conditions apply if i purchase this insurance from you. I need to know that if something happens to me and my computer while I'm out there traveling --- you're not going to claim some strange condition and tell me that I'm not covered. What conditions will apply to this coverage? I'm a US resident, currently serving in the US Peace Corps. Do you have an appropriate insurance product for me?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. However there is no insurance that we could offer you to cover the cost of your computer. We offer international medical insurance. If you need any additional clarifications please contact our office .
