Q:what would the deductible be? We are looking for covid medical ard lost bagage coverage

A:
What deductible options you would have to choose from would depend on the plan you are looking at purchasing. You can find plans that include benefits for Covid-19 through this quoting link: /covid19-travel-medical-insurance/ Under each plan you will see a drop down for the deductible and can review that plans specific options. You can also view the plans Benefits Link to see which ones offer the Lost Luggage benefits and the amounts of coverage each offers. If you have additional questions, please let us know.

Q:Again the question is if we need additional coverage in addition to our current health insurance which may not pay for out of network care. What is unclear is if our insurance will pay for any emergency care outside our network and whether it would be prudent to purchase shortterm insurance for the 3 months we will be traveling outside our service area much like insurance purchased for international travel.

A:
We cannot advise how your current primary plan would cover out of network. However, if you are a U.S. resident, we do have Trip Insurance plans that can cover someone traveling more than 100 miles from their home residence and the insurance would pay as primary. These plan do not have networks, so you can go to any provider. Here is a plan we could recommend for you to review: /travel-lx-insurance/

Q:Im going on a cruise out of ft lauderdale. I want medical coverage if I need it

A:
We have plans that can provide coverage for new illnesses and new injuries that occur or manifest after the effective date when traveling outside of your home country. Those plans can be found through this quote link /travel-health-insurance/ Some will also include benefits for Covid19 as well and will indicate if they do so if you are also wanting medical coverage if you were to contract it during travel. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Q:Need information on outside network coverage within the United States. Shortterm for 3 months in addition to primary medical insurance . First , is it prudent or necessary. Have been told two different things regarding emergency care outside of network.

A:
If a plan we provide has a network, then the plan can provide benefits in or out of the network for covered expenses up to the selected policy's benefit levels. However the cost to the insured will be higher if they go to an out of network provider. In network providers have negotiated rates. I am not sure what is meant by "in addition to primary medical coverage." The plans we provide would in most cases pay secondary to any other coverage and may not be available at all if primary insurance is available or obtained. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
