Q:I'm a U.S. national currently living in Japan at my mother's house to take care of her. I also spend time in Australia as well. I own a home in the U.S. and so I have an address in the U.S. I have visitor insurance plans while I'm in Japan and Australia, but no health insurance in the U.S. I'd like to visit the U.S. and was wondering if your insurance will cover me.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. As long as you primarily reside outside of the United States as a U.S. citizen and you are returning to the U.S. for a visit you can purchase a plan called Patriot America Plus. This plan will cover any new accidents or new illness that happens after the effective date of the policy. If you need any additional assistance please contact our office.

Q:I recently visited your website where I found lots of useful information. I am a US Citizen, and my parents are in their 70s. They are considering immigration to US and would like to confirm two questions: 1. With green card, do you recommend BridgePlan for the first 5 years as the best option? Can you send me the latest BridgePlan coverage and premium information? Is ObamaCare NOT an option for them? 2. They are also considering a visit (B1B2) next year before their grandchild leaves for college. If it's a 6-month stay, what insurance product do you recommend?

A:
At the age of 70 the Bridge Plan would be a recommended plan. In order to determine eligibility for domestic plans you would need to reach out to the market place directly for assistance. As visitors into the United States they are eligible for any of the available plans in the Visitors to the USA section of the website.

A:
There are other differences between these plans. The ExchangeGuard plans give several deductible and policy maximum options whereas the Study USA deductible's and coinsurance options are fixed depending on the level of coverage you choose. The Study USA plans will also provide coverage for a routine physical exam, and includes coverage for mental and nervous disorders.
