My question is, what type of insurance can you refer to my that would over my Son whilst studying in USA? He does not have a Visa at the moment. The coach has stated that my Son will be covered by the College for any physio and injuy on campus but not for anything outside of the college campus, that is if he gets sick or anything else for that matter. Q:Hi! I have a question regarding the OPT insurance. I am an international student and will (officially) graduate on August 21, 2020. I am currently applying for OPT and will start working on October 5, 2020. I will have no insurance coverage between July 1, 2020 and October 4, 2020. I am wondering if I am eligible for the OPT insurance in this case. Thank you in advance!

A:

Q:I want to rent a Florida beach house for a week. What insurance would cover the cost of my trip if my destination is closed due to COVID 19?

A:
You would want to purchase a plan with a Cancel for Any Reason benefit, as those would be the only ones beneficial for the situation you are describing. These plans have to be purchased within a certain number of days from the initial deposit date in order to have the benefit within the plan. You may view and quote plans here.

Q:Our visitor insurance is due for extension. Can i make changes to reduce the overall coverage and increase deductible ? If it is not feasible, what are my options to make the above chnages?

A:
Unfortunately there is no way to make changes to an already active policy. The only way to change these things would be to purchase a completely new plan, but keep in mind the plans are meant to cover the new things that manifest after their effective date. There is no plan on the market which will cover the pre-exisitng, preventative or routine care. Should you have additional questions you may also call our office at (866) 467-8289.
