Q:I'm Masahiro, who is a J-1 visa holder. I would like to know cost for the insurance plan meeting the minimum requirements for J-2 visa holder (3 persons; my wife and 2-kids) for one year (starting from 6th December 2016). I already have insurance through my program so I would like to know whether I have an eligibility or not. If the cost is allowed and, I'm considering to purchase it as an individual because my program does not cover the cost for my dependents. It would be a great help for me if you could tell me some plans meeting above condition.

Q:J1/J2 Atlas America questions I'm writing to consult the rates of Atlas America for J1 and J2 holders. I know if I buy the insurance for my family, the child's fee can be free. But when I got the quote, there is only a total fee where I cannot see the specific fee for me and my husband, so I do not know whether my child is truly free or not. And I need to have the proof that the child is free so that I can reimburse the fee for me and my husband. Looking forward to your reply. Thanks.

A:
Atlas America is a family friendly plan. So if one parent insured child under 9yrs will get insurance at no cost. If you get the quote is total premium for you and your husband. You will not pay anything for the child so when you file reimbursement that is only for you and your spouse. You can look at the per day rate in the brochure. /atlas-america/visitor-medical-insurance/ If you send us your age, spouse age, start date, end date, policy max and deductible that you are looking for we can send you quote separately means how much you pay for your husband and for you. Dear Sir or Madam, Thanks for your quick response. I'm 31, and my husband is 32. Our daughter is 2 years old. I'm looking for the plan of $0 deductible, $500,000 max. I got the quote which is $2722. Is that right? And this sum is just for me and my husband and the child is free, right? Waiting for your confirmation and then I will place an order. Thanks and regards. If you get coverage for 364 days. I got the quote from 08/06/2016-08/04/2017 premium will be $1361.36 for you, $1361.36 for your husband and for your son $0 premium. Atlas America brochure, instant purchase and other useful information, /atlasamerica-insurance/ Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions. Thank you very much. That's the same quote as I got. I have filled out the form, but I still have one question. Would you send me a whole package including the ID card, the brochure with the daily rates included and how I can use the card? Please select online fulfillment NO then you will get e-mail and insurance card by regular mail also. Yes. The e-mail confirmation will have a link to print all the documents like certificate wording, id card etc. Or you can print from current client section at, /myaccount/ Select the plan Atlas America and task select whatever documents you want to print. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
