Q:Hi, I am a F-1 visa student at Mercer University. I'd like to buy insurance but I don't know exactly which insurance meet the requirements.

A:
We would be glad to assist. However, we do not have any plans that will meet the requirements below. One of the requirements states no maximum aggregate, and the only coverage that offers that would be a domestic insurance plan. The only domestic insurance plan we know of that would be available to you, would be the plan the University offers. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Q:I want to buy travel insurance for my mother in law. She will be coming from India to United Arab Emirates. What is your cover network list for here please? Or is your policy reimbursement?

A:
We would be glad to assist. Our travel outside the U.S. plans are the plans that could cover your mother in law while traveling from India to the UAE. Some plans will have a global network, but it would depend on the plan. I have attached the link for our travel outside the U.S. plans for you to enter in her specific information to obtain quotes, and based on that information, see what plans she is eligible for. Under each plan, you will see the benefits link. This is where it will advise if there is network available outside the U.S. on the plan. /travel-health-insurance/ If you have any additional questions or need any further assistance, please let us know.

Q:I moved to the US in October under a K-1 visa, and got married in November. I did have basic travel insurance, which I bought whilst in the UK (my country of citizenship), but I'm not sure if it covers me. I know that now I am married I may be able to be put on my wife's medical insurance, but am also interested in knowing the monthly fee through Insubuy.

A:
We would be glad to assist. We do have insurance that can cover someone on a K1 until they are eligible for domestic insurance. If you are eligible for insurance through your wife's employer, or a domestic plan through the Health Care Exchange, you would need to enroll into that coverage. Our plans will not cover someone who is eligible for domestic insurance, and they are also not ACA compliant, and would have tax implications. If there is a waiting period before you would be eligible for your wife's employer coverage, for example, the coverage would start January 1st, you could carry our plan until that time. I have attached the link below for the plan that can cover you until then. The plan covers new illnesses and new injuries after the effective date, it will not cover anything preventative, routine, or pre-existing. /patriot-america-plus-insurance/ If you have any questions, or need any additional assistance, please let us know.
