Q:I'll be graduating next year and need health insurance during my opt. I specifically need to cover the prescription drug Vemlidy 25mg. Do you have any plan that you recommend?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The available plans are designed to cover the new accidents and new illnesses that happen after the effective date of the policy. There would not be any coverage for medications related to pre-existing conditions. This is an expenses that you would pay for out of pocket. The plan will only cover medications related to the new accidents and new illnesses that happen after the effective date of the policy. Typically, if while you are OPT your employer offers you insurance the domestic options offered by them will typically cover this type of expense.

Q:I am an international student in USA with an F1 visa. I want to buy the "exchangeguard choice" insurance for my wife who has an F2 visa. But I, myself is not planning to buy the insurance for me. Can you please let me know if she, with an F2 visa is eligible to get the insurance if the F1 visa holder do not enroll in it.

A:

Q:I am an international student looking forward to buy a health insurance from your company. I think the Student Select Secure is the best one for me. Does insurance cover tests like Ultrasound and an outpatient procedure called Hymenectomy?

A:
If your university has not requirements for insurance you can purchase this plan. However, the StudentSecure Select plan will not cover any procedures that you are currently needing. So the Hymenectomy procedure or ultrasound would not be covered on this policy as there is a 6 month waiting period for pre-existing conditions consideration.

Q:I need to purchase visitors medical insurance for my wife, who is a Thai citizen for her upcoming visit to the US. She will be visiting Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for 8 days. I am interested in the Safe Travels USA Cost Saver plan which is $500,000 coverage, no deductible option. But when I click on "Geographic Restrictions" and under "Additional Restrictions" it lists the United States as an excluded destination.

A:
She is eligible for that plan and it will cover a visitor to the United States. If you look at the Additional Restrictions it actually says the arctic region of the US as well as the arctic region of other countries. There is no exclusion in the continental US where South Carolina is located. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.
