Q:On August 1st I will be moving to Ithaca (NY) for a visiting research period at Cornell University until December 1st. I would be interested in buying an Atlas Exchange insurance. I have read on your website that this option is not available for people that are in NY. At the moment I am not in NY (I am located in the Netherlands), but during my period in the US I will be. It is not clear to me whether I can be covered by the Atlas Exchange insurance. I would be grateful if you could clarify this.
Q:I want to purchase my travel insurance through Atlas International Plan, and the Belgium consulate is requesting coverage to be paid directly to the provider in Belgium by the insurance company, and the medical insurance card alone is not sufficient proof. So I am not sure if I am supposed to directly purchase insurance from your website or how I can make sure that the insurance is paid to a Belgium provider directly. Could you let me know how it works? Thanks! Below is taken from Belgium consulate website. Proof of travel/medical insurance (please note that your medical insurance card alone is not sufficient proof!) to cover possible medical expenses, hospitalization costs, repatriation of mortal remains and repatriation for medical reasons while traveling in Belgium or in other Schengen countries. Minimum coverage must be at least 30,000 EURO and must be paid directly to the provider in Belgium by the insurance company. Please provide a photocopy and the original contract which will be returned to you. You will have to show proof of travel/accident insurance when entering the Schengen area.
