Q:I am from Zambia and would like to find out if your insurance plans offer monthly payments as I'll be travelling to Spain for a year.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The amount that you would pay for your insurance is reflective of the amount of days you need to purchase for. If you need to show a full year of coverage for visa purposes you would have to pay for the entire policy at one time for your documents to show proof of coverage for 1 year. If you are not required to show coverage for 1 year, you can purchase for 1 month on a plan that is renewable and renew the plan every month while you need coverage but the policy will only show the amount of time that it is valid for. Q:I am planning to visit the University of Kentucky on a J1 visa from January 9, 2018 to April 30, 2018 and would require purchasing a health insurance for my trip. They have some minimum benefit requirements (listed below) and I don't know which one of your plans fulfills these requirements. Could you please instruct me? Thanks a lot in advance. Some information about me: Age: 27 (born on April 5, 1990) J1 activity: educational

A:
Unfortunately, the plans available on the market will not meet the university requirements. It is recommended that you purchase directly from your university. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:My wife and I are US Citizens currently living in Australia. Our ages are 65 and 61 respectively. We plan to return to the US in March 2018 for a period of time that could range from 3 months to up to one year. We may visit several states during our stay. Would you be able to provide guidance as to what Health Insurance plans would be available and suitable for us to ensure adequate coverage for the duration of our stay in the US? I do have Medicare Part A coverage.

A:
As United States citizens the plan available to you will be based upon the amount of time in which you will be staying in the United States. If coming for a visit there are some plans available to you called Diplomat America as long as you plan to return to your home country outside of the United States. This plan will cover any new accidents or new illness that happen after the effective date of the policy. If you are planning to stay for a year it is recommended that you look into domestic insurance options as a U.S. citizen. For more information on coverage for US citizens visiting the USA please review the FAQ listed below. Q:I plan to purchase insurance for my trip to US. I need some clarification on the Patriot America Plus. Is urinary infection not covered? What are the illnesses not covered?

A:
The Patriot America Plus plan will not cover UTI's for the first 90 days of the policy. There is not a list of illnesses that are or are not covered under the policy. The plan is designed to cover the new accidents and new illness that happen after the effective date of the policy. Plans do not cover pre-existing conditions routine doctors visit or any medications as it relates to the pre-existing conditions. Please see Pre-existing Conditions FAQ and What's not covered FAQ for more information. If you need any additional clarification please contact our office.
