Q:I am researching information for next year. Please explain the note on your form that says there is no visa letter when insurance is purchased with a deductible. My husband and I are in our 70s (or will be), and the only affordable premium is with a high deductible. We can demonstrate our ability to pay the deductible. Is tbe zero-deductible a Schengen requirement or your requirement?

A:
With the Safe Travels International plan they will not provide a visa letter for the plan if you do not purchase with a zero deductible. This not a company rule, but rather what we see most of. Consular officers often time send individuals pack to purchase the plan with a zero deductible if they attend their appointment with a deductible listed. This is not an official rule but what we tend to see most of. You are welcome to purchase a plan other than Safe Travels International with a deductible and see if it will work for your appointment as this is not a requirement. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
