Q:I will be traveling from Costa Rica to the USA with my husband and two daughters from Sept 11-Oct 14th. I am 38 years old, a Canadian citizen and Costa Rican resident. My husband is 46 years old, a US citizen and Costa Rican resident. My eldest daughter is 4 years old (born on Oct 29,2014). My youngest daughter is 1 year old (born on July 18th,2017). Both of my daughters are US/Canadian/Costa Rican citizens. Can you recommend an insurance plan for us please?

A:
You can all purchase the same plan but the US citizens will be on one policy and you on your own. Please see the link for the plan we recommend that will cover you, as well as your family: Patriot America Plus When you do the application you will need to put your home country address and not a US address for residence address. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I will be in Chicago from Sep 10/2018 through June 30/2019. The university I will work in requires me to have health insurance that covers "pre-existing conditions with no exclusions or waiting period". In other words, coverage can't be limited to acute exacerbations only. Do you have plans that offer that? I don't actually have any pre-existing conditions, but the university requires this feature of the plan. Thank you for your time.

A:
Unfortunately, the available plans all have at least a 6 month waiting period so they would not meet the requirements. You would have to purchase the plan the university is offering to be able to meet their requirements. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:My parents are in the process of moving to the US from Canada. I have looked over several of your insurance plans, I am not sure which would suit them. My father is 67, with coronary artery disease and type II diabetes only requiring oral medications. My mother is 65, with hypertension and osteoarthritis. I am looking to have any acute issues that could be due to their pre-existing conditions covered, as well as routine care if possible. Please advise and provide quotes.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Based on the information provided we would recommend purchasing a plan from the New Immigrants section of the website. There are no plans available which will provide coverage for pre-existing conditions. Please use the link provided below to view available plans, and purchase. You may also purchase over the phone by contacting our office at +1 (866) INSUBUY. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. New Immigrants

Q:I am a international student from University of Texas from Arlington, I would like to waive the insurance my school offered, could you check which insurance plan apply to the criteria my school offered? If there is a plan suitable for me how can I purchase it? If my school think the insurance plan is not applicable, can I get a refund? How much is the insurance annually? FYI I am 29 The criteria as attachment.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Unfortunately, the available plans will not meet the university requirements since they require an ACA plan. For you to get an ACA plan you will have to purchase the one the school offers.
