Q:I learned from your site that you provide the captioned insurance for travelers from outside USA. I want to know how many days of coverage can I get when I buy an annual travel plan (say 364 days)? What I mean is I heard that usually an annual travel insurance plan only covers the first 90 or 180 days for the traveler unless they go back to their own country and back again on their travel to get another 90 day or 180 days of travel coverage under the same plan, but if they don't go back to their own country they don't get anymore coverage after the first 90 or 180 days. Is it the same for the insurance plans that your company provides? Age: 37 Citizenship: Hong Kong Destination: Colorado, USA Coverage: 6 months to one year (depending on the fee)

A:
In that case you need to purchase single trip insurance. You can purchase either Atlas America or Patriot America Plus plan. You can compare these plans on our website. We have sent you quote in a separate e-mail also. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Q:I am a research scholar with J1 visa and two children (dependents-J2) originally from Iran currently at Missouri University of Science and technology. I need to provide insurance to waive my current Aetna insurance by August 1st. Enclosed are the insurance waiver forms which include the requirements. I want to buy insurance from Atlas Essential America. But it mentioned the paper application necessary for Iranians. So please tell me how can I do this from here. I look forward to hear from you.

A:
Your University didn't list any additional requirements that need to be met so the plans in the J1/J2 Visa Health Insurance section of our website will meet the standard requirements. To purchase the Atlas Essential you would have to complete the application and then scan and email back. You can also fax the application if you prefer to 972-767-4470. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.
