Q:Medical Insruance For Pregnant visiting the USA Good morning I plan to travel from Poland to USA for tourist reason (B2 visa, I'm not US citizen) up to 3 months. Since I am pregnant I would like to ask if I would find a reasonable insurance that would cover potential basic medical care? I don't plan to birth child in USA. I would buy normal travel insurance, but I would be less stress if i would have also normal medical one.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. However, there are no plans on the market that will cover any preventative or maternity related expenses for a visitor into the United States. The available plans are designed to cover only the new accidents and new illness that occur after the effective date of the policy. If you would like to review plan options for any unrelated expenses please feel free to contact our office.

Q:Atlas Essential America I was looking at Atlas Essential but with a $100K policy. The plan says 75/25 of policy maximum, it really is a $75,000 policy. Say the hospital bills are 70,000. I am guessing they will pay 70,000 of the bill. Can you verify my assumption?

A:
Under Atlas Essential plan, first you pay the deductible that is one time. After that insurance will pay 75% you pay 25% to policy maximum you choose. For e.g. if you take $250 deductible and $50,000 coverage with Atlas Essential America. Let’s assume that you were in an accident and are hospitalizes for 2 days. The hospital charges $12,000 per day for a total bill of $24,000. Assuming this is the first instance of your needing to use the insurance, You pay your $250ded. Plus $5937.50 (25% of $23750) and the insurance company will pay rest. I hope this answer your question. If you have any further question or need clarification feel free to contact us and will be glad to help you to understand how this plan works. We have atlas America and Atlas essential. You need to decide how much you want to pay out of your pocket and decide which options will work for you. You can also compare these plans on our website at www.insubuy.com

Q:Claims Process Thanks! Can you also explain how the international including USA insurance option works? Is Singapore in the list of covered countries? Will the benefits internationally be similar to what we get in the US? How will we find a doctor or hospital? Also, how will the claims process work? Will it be cashless (after the deductible is met) or will we have to pay the bill on our own and then file for reimbursement?

A:
The international including USA options is simply a filtering field to filter out plans in the quoting screens. Plans will cover anywhere outside of the Home Country. There isn’t a specific hospital that you would be required to go to outside of the United States. You are free to visit any provider that you choose to obtain treatment. Any provider can bill directly which would in turn make the policy cashless but it is at the providers discretion on whether or not they would like to bill directly. In the event you need to pay out of pocket you would then file a claim for reimbursement.
