Q:Cancellation Of Insurance Hello, I had a question on buying medical insurance. If we buy now starting for a future date and if for some reason our parents cannot visit us due to last minute changes and we cancel the insurance , how will we be reimbursed for the amount we paid??? Thanks in advance

A:
Most plans give you full refund before the effective date of the policy. To make sure for a particular plan that you are planning to buy, visit /myaccount/ , choose the plan, and task as 'Cancellation/Refund'. You will see the refund rule. If you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here or contact us at any time.

Q:Patriot America Hi, Will the patriot america plan covers Lab,X-Rays and Diagnostics services during emergency?

A:
If those expenses are due to pregnancy, those are not covered. If those expenses are due to new medical condition that occurs after the effective date of the policy and not related to pregnancy, they are covered just like any other eligible medical expense.

Q:Change in Arrival date Hi, I have bought a fixed coverage plan for my mother who is yet to arrive in the US.If there is change in her arrival date by a few days but no change in return date, is there a way that I can modify the insurance coverage dates too? Please advise. Thanks

A:
You can make such changes before the effective date of the policy. You will need to send an email to service insubuy.com with your certificate number and the correct dates. Thanks, will there be any charges involved? Before the effective date, there is no charge. In fact, you will get a refund for the days, as you are shoterning the total duration.

Q:F2 Visa Holder Insurance Hello, I am a student at Georgia Tech. For me it is compulsory to get Pierce and Pierce insurance (though I think it is costly). Now I need to decide about my wife's insurance. She is on F2 Visa. Which good insurance options are available for her? Thanks

A:
The options available to you depend upon whether you want to buy insurance just for your wife (F2) or also for yourself (F1). I don't think it would be compulsory for you to buy any specific insurance. Most universitites have a set of requirements that an insurance must meet. As long as you buy some insurance that meets all the requirements, you can buy that alternate insurance. Therefore, I suggest that you contact your school and ask them to give you the compliance form (also called waiver form) and send that to us at info insubuy.com and we can look at it to see we have plans that meet the requirements. If so, you can buy for both of you. Otherwise, we can suggest the options just for your wife. If you have any other questions, please feel free to post them here or contact us at any time. Thanks for the information. I will find out from my school about my insurance. But could you give me an idea about my wife's insurance (she is on F2). Do you know if even a doctor's visit for regular checkup would be covered under this insurance? I would like to get her insurance ASAP. Thanks Chaitanya As I said before, options for F2 only are different than F1+F2. Yeah. I understand that. But as I have already paid my insurance till Fall, I would like to go ahead and do my wife's insurance first. I may think of F1+F2 insurance later sometime. F2 insurance is essentially the same as the visitors insurance, available at / General check up etc. are not covered. Thanks! There are so many options available. Could you please suggest any good one. I was looking for 50,000 $ coverage. Please call us and we will guide. Thanks for the information. Just wanted to ask one more question: does any of this insurance take care of trip cancellation? e.g. for any reason if my wife has to go back to India suddenly? Trip cancellation can occur only before she has departed for the trip. However, as she is already in the U.S., there is no way to cancel her trip as she is already on the trip. However, she can get coverage for trip interruption due to a valid reason as death of parents, house on fire in India etc. Please read the brochure for each product for precise definition of covered reasons. OK. Thanks. Btw, I was trying to get this Patriot America insurance. But is it mandatory to have or have held other insurance before this if she is in US from sept 2009? There is a possibility that her insurance has already expired from more than 60 days. Yes, it is. You told me over the phone that it expired only just a few days ago. You must fill the application truthfully. Otherwise, the claim may be denied if you bought the insurance when not eligible. Hey I just saw the earlier insurance policy. It expired on 26th Feb 2010. Is there any way I can still buy insurance for her? Look at Liaison Worldwide at /visitors-insurance/ Sorry to bother ya again! I checked this website. Have some questions: 1. Is it a good idea to buy a fixed plan (e.g.Visitor's care) insurance for one month as it does not need that 60 days pre-insurance criteria, and then buy this comprehensive plan (e.g.Patriot america ) after next month. In that case I will be satisfying the criteria of having pre-insurance within last 60 days. or 2. Just buy this Liaison Worldwide insurance. But I have not completely understood the benefits of this Liaison insurance plan. Does it work like fixed coverage or comprehensive coverage? Does it also cover First Health PPO network? It also looks a bit expensive than Patriot America...... Thanks and regards 1. That would be trying to cheat the online system and you would be caught at the time of claims. Therefore, do not do it. 2. It is comprehensive coverage plan. Yes, it has First Health PPO network. Hey, Why is this cheating? I did not understand. Because I think I am following all the rules by doing this. Is there any rule that I can't change my insurance once taken? Because in any case I will renew or take new insurance (if I do not like the current one). No need to feel bad. Whatever I am telilng is in your best interest, because I work for you. There is nothing wrong in changing the plan later. However, the rule is that if you are in the U.S. for 6 months or more and without insurance for 60 days or more, you can't buy Patriot America. You can't change that fact now. If you buy some other insurance for one month, and try to answer the questions online, that would be trying to circumvent the system and therefore not recommended. I still haven't bought an insurance for my wife. I think I should not delay it anymore. As I told you earlier, her insurance bought from India has expired for more that 60 days and hence I cannot buy Patriot America. So I am deciding to buy Atlas America. I have some questions about it: 1. What is the meaning of - usual, reasonable , customary charges. I did not find description of this anywhere. It appears in Intensive Care Unit , local ambulance section in brochure. 2. When I try to buy this insurance, it automatically changes the desired insurance start date to tomorrow's date. Is there any way to modify it? Thanks 1. That means, whatever the usual charges are for the given procedure/facility in your area. However, that is largely applicable when you go out of the network. When you go in the network, network negotiated fees apply and therefore you don't have to worry about URC. 2. In Atlas America, if the person is already here, the only effective date possible is today's date. You can't put future date. You want any future date, you will have to apply on that date. Thanks! Just last few questions before buying: 1. I am thinking of buying $100000 with $0 deductible for next 3 months starting tomorrow 7th July to 6th Oct 2010. Is it possible to change the coverage in between? e.g. Can I change the coverage maximum to $50,000 after say 1 month? 2. Also, is it possible to change the coverage maximum at the time of next renewal (e.g. on 6th Oct 2010)? 3. Is it advisable to buy long term coverage? Or buying small periods is also fine? Will there be any benefits I will be missing in this case if I go for Atlas America? 4. Do I need to specify your agent code / information anywhere at the time of buying? 1. No. 2. No. 3. You can buy for any duration and renew it, for total duration of 1 year. Every time you renew, there is a $5 renewal fee. Otherwise, the premiums are the same either way. 4. As long as you buy from this web site InsuBuy.com, it is automatically encoded and you don't have to put it.

Q:Annual insurance for family + maternity Hi, I have transacted with you thrice before and everytime it has been a hassle-free experience. All previous instances were on business trips but this time I plan to move in long-term. I will be travelling to GA with my wife and daughter as dependents in the next month. I am looking for an insurance which covers all three of us for the next one year. Also, we plan to extend our family during the next year, is there a policy which covers planned maternity? If there are no specific plans which offer that, will a general health insurance for spouse offer any monetary assistance at the time of delivery? Thanks & regards, Mahesh

A:
We are glad that you had a good experience. Thank you for letting us know. In short, there is really no plan that would cover maternity when you are coming to the U.S. For covering any new medical conditions, injuries or accidents, I suggest that you look at various plans at https://www.insubuy.com You will get instant quotes, compare them side by side and make an instant purchase online. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.
