Q:Visitor insurance for my parents Hello, As expected I am looking for visitor insurance for my parents who will spend little time in the USA. I have looked at your website, which I must say is very informative. However I wanted to clarify few things. 1. My parents are aged 65 and 59 and will be traveling to UK and spend about 2.5 months there before coming to US. 2. Their travel dates are 09-May-2011 depart India, stay in UK till 23 Jul 2011 and leave for US. Stay in USA from 23-Jul-2011 till 15-Oct-2011 reaching India on 17-Oct-2011. So they need coverage both in UK and USA. The plans offer international coverage but don't give specific details about countries and network. So looking for additional details if a single policy will do or if I need to get 2 separate polices. Thanks for your help.

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. You can go for some plan that is International coverage. In the Fixed category you can go for Visitors Care and Comprehensive category you can go for Atlas America. Concept of PPO network only in USA. Outside USA there is no PPO network. Person is free to visit any dr.any hospital. For dr. visit it depends on dr. office if they want to billed to the insurance company directly or not. But for hospitalization it will be direct payment through insurance company. You can do two separate application for father and mother. So for some reason if person needs to leave early or second person need to extend the trip you will have more flexibility. Here is the link for our website, / I hope these answer your questions. Q:visitor to usa medical insurance Hi I have just discovered your company online and would like to confirm a few points before proceeding with an online purchase. My wife is a US citizen, living in the UK with dual citizenship. We are visiting family and friends in Connecticut from May19th to May 30th. All flights are paid for in full. Does your visitor insurance cover my wife for Medical insurance during her stay, including pre-existing medical conditions? She is currently taking medication for High Cholesterol and High Blood pressure, as a result of receiving Coronary Angioplasty 3 years ago. The plan I have seen through another web site states that pre existing medical is covered for Unexpected Recurrence. The plan also states it is for Secondary Medical Coverage....what does that mean? Finally I read something about paying the difference to the cost of treatment and the Network cost, what does this mean? Many thanks for your help. Best Regards

A:
Hello, There is no plan that would cover your wife for pre-existing condition. There are a couple plans that would cover her but they will only cover the NEW illnesses and accidents that occur after the effective date. /safe-travels-usa-comprehensive/visitors-insurance/ /atlas-america/visitor-medical-insurance/ If you have any further questions please feel free to call.

Q:visitor's medical insurance Hi, I am trying to purchase a visitor's medical insurance - inbound USA. There is a field called pre-existing benefit for heart attack or stroke. What does selected and declined mean? I have not had a heart attack or stroke before. Please advise on which option I must choose.

A:
If you select Yes - If the person gets admitted into the hospital due to heart or stroke that may be due to pre-existing conditions, it will pay up to $5,000 ($3,000 for 70+). It charges 26% more premium for that. If you select No - you will not get that coverage. You can purchase the insurance online at /safe-travels-elite/visitor-medical-insurance/ Please let us know if you have any other questions.
