Q:I have the following queries, after reading the "certificate wording" document.: 1) Is the ATLAS INTERNATIONAL policy for US citizens only, or for a person of any nationality? 2) Does this ATLAS INTERNATIONAL policy apply to Schengen region/visa-holders only, or for anywhere in the world, except USA? 3) In the "certificate wording"and "Brochure"document, there is no mention of the altitude till which a trekking activity is covered by Atlas. Can you let me know the altitude limit which is covered? 4) Page # 11-12 in the "certificate wording"document contains paragraphs on "Emergency medical evacuation". Is this service provided within the premium cost of basic coverage (as found in the "Quotes and Purchase" section) or is there any additional amount to be paid extra to be covered under "Emergency medical evacuation"? Please confirm. 5) What is the process for pre-authorization/approval before an emergency medical evacuation? Do I need to call to a particular number to inform the situation? If yes, what's the number and is that line available 24*7 ? 6) Who arranges/contacts a local agency for emergency evacuation vehicle such as a ground vehicle or a helicopter? 7) Is there a group policy? Or do we need to purchase individual policies only from Atlas? Thank you for clarifying doubts. We are 7 team members for trekking activity to be done in Nepal Himalayas. We would take a call after understanding the Insubuy/Atlas policies.

A:
1. Atlas International plan is for US/NON USC who needs coverage outside their home country and US. 2. Atlas International plan will provide coverage anywhere in the world except US and home country. It provides coverage for Schengen visa also. It's not only for one purpose. 3. Please take a look at the Certificate Wording for the plan. Page 18 exclusion #37 (b) 4. Yes. 5. Yes. Number on the insurance card. You have to make all the arrangement by the insurance company in order to get evacuation benefits. Please read certificate wording. Page 12 B. Under eligible expenses- Emergency medical evacuation. Look at the sample id card. 6. Assistance company. 7. You can do group policy. With minimum 5 members in the group. You can also take a look at the Atlas Group Policy.

Q:Parents visiting USA; Insurance needed My parents are visiting US for 6 months. My mom is 60 years old and my data is 71 years old. Can you help me to decide between Patriot America and Safe Travels USA Cost Saver plans? The exclusions and Limitations of Safe Travels USA Cost Saver (in the certificate wording) seems to have more conditions listed than Patriot America. But when I use your compare tool, the conditions covered seems to be similar. Which one do you suggest for my parents considering their age.

A:
It is not possible to list all the possible scenarios or conditions in the comparison. It is meant to be an overview only. You are doing the right thing by looking at the details in the certificate wording. I would recommend you to purchase Patriot America, available for instant purchase at /patriot-america-lite-insurance/ You can also look at Safe Travels USA Comprehensive insurance for age 70+. Which provides coverage for acute onset of pre-existing conditions up to age 89 yrs. . Please find more details in certificate wording in the link below. /safe-travels-usa-comprehensive-insurance/ You can also compare them at www.insubuy.com Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Q:Buying Comprehensive plan for my elderly parents I am planning to buy comprehensive medical insurance policy for my parents scheduled to visit in July this year and will stay for two and half months in USA. My father is aged 77 years and my mother is aged 67 years. Can you suggest a suitable plan for a coverage up to $100,000 for each? Also both of them are physically fit but take medications for blood pressure and blood sugar. Will this be considered as pre-existing medical condition? I would like to understand how such situations are dealt if they suffer from any aggravated condition due to such ailments, I would appreciate a quick response,

A:
You can consider purchasing Atlas America plan for your mother at /atlasamerica-insurance/ Yes, those conditions will be considered as pre-existing conditions. Insurance will not pay for any routine dr. visit for the existing conditions. However Atlas America provides acute onset of pre-ex up to age 69 yrs while Safe Travels USA Comprehensive plan provides coverage for acute onset of pre-existing conditions up to age 89 yrs but it has exclusion for cardiac disease and conditions. Please find more information at /visitor-insurance-acute-onset-of-pre-existing-conditions/ You can compare these plans at www.insubuy.com If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.

Q:Query Regarding "safe travels USA cost saver" I'm visiting USA this 29th May and planning to buy an insurance for my wife and my kid. We are travelling from India and this will be our first visit to USA. I have finalized "safe-travels-usa-cost-saver". I will be visiting Santa Clara, California, Denver, CO Tampa, Florida and St.Louis, MO. I would like to know if "safe travels usa cost saver" will cover me entire USA it covers only certain state. Are there any special benefits for infants as my son is only an year old. Will this insurance work with only specific Network or i can go to any hospital / Doctor when needed in the USA? IF i buy the insurance with '0' Deductible, then i would just require need to pay the co-pay for a doctor's visit isn't it?

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance for your family. 1. Safe Travels USA Cost Saver will cover anywhere outside the home country and everywhere in the U.S. 2. No special benefits for infants. 3. You can visit any provider of your choice. However, if you visit a provider within the PPO network, they are more likely to recognize the insurance, bill the insurance company directly and charge you the network negotiated fees. 4. There is no concept of copay in short term plans. After you pay the deductible (which can be $0 as well), the insurance will pay 80% for the first $5,000 in eligible expenses, you will pay 20%. After $5,000, it will pay 100% up to the policy maximum. You can purchase it online at /safe-travels-usa-cost-saver-insurance/ If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at any time. Thanks for the response, That is a brilliant news for me. :-) I have few more queries If i visit a non-network provider does that mean i have to pay the entire consultation fee from hand and then claim it from the insurance company? Does "Patriot America Plus" also cover entire United states or the policy is applicable to only specific state? Does "A.M. Best ratings" represent the financial health of the Insurance company or the way they handle medical claims? It is at the discretion of the physicians’ office whether or not they would like to bill directly as there is no PPO network, so there is a possibility in this case that you may have to pay out of pocket and file a claim for reimbursement. The Patriot America Plus plan will cover the insured person anywhere outside of the country of citizenship to include all 50 US states. A.M. Best rating is the industry’s standard measure of the insurers financial performance. It has been mentioned that "Safe Travels USA Cost Saver" is a secondary to any insurance applicable and the Primary Insurance is "Safe Travels USA". My final query is, could i simply buy "Safe Travels USA Cost Saver" without buying another insurance and be fully covered (up to Policy Max) during my stay in the USA? That’s correct. Safe Travel USA cost saver is secondary and Safe Travel USA is primary insurance. Safe travel USA cost saver will be secondary to any other insurance your visitor will have in USA. You don’t need to purchase other insurance. Primary and secondary insurance will be applicable mostly in case of car accident or if someone falls at some tourist place etc. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Thanks a lot for answering all the queries, i really appreciate it. I have finalized "Safe Travels USA Cost Saver". If you need any help feel free to contact us. Have a great day!
