Q:I cancelled my insurance and I am waiting for my refund to be processed. However, I paid with a credit card that has been cancelled. Can the refund be credit to another credit card or account?

A:
There is no way to refund the amount of your cancellation to a different card. The funds will be sent to the card the plan was purchased on, so it is advised to contact the banking institution from which that card was issued . If you have any additional questions please let us know.

Q:I notice there are deductibles e.g. USD50, 100 etc. Does this mean if I had any claims say USD400, the insurance company would refund me my full claims of USD400 if I choose the zero (0) deductible? And if I chose the USD50 deductible, then the insurance company will refund USD350?And I I choose the zero (0) before I claim? In short which insurance do I need to take for 23 days and avoid paying any upfront charges. Thank you!

A:
The deductible is simply the amount you need to pay before the insurance will start to pay, so depending on the plan, that assessment is correct. To receive the most coverage for covered expenses under a policy, we do recommend one of our comprehensive plans. However, there is not a Visitor plan on the market that can guarantee zero up-front costs. The decision to directly bill the insured or the insurance company is solely up to the medical provider. In the event that the provider did bill the insured, they would need to file a claim for reimbursement. If you have any other questions please let us know.

Q:Im looking at Visitors secure and Visitors care insurances. How does billing work? Does the patient need to pay and then claim or is there an option of direct billing? Also how many days does it take to purchase the insurance?

A:
Direct billing is up to the provider. They will either direct bill the insurance company with the information located on your ID card, or they will have you pay them up front for their services and have you file the claim for reimbursement. As long as the services were for covered expenses under the plan, you would be reimbursed according to your selected plans benefit levels. You can puchase the insurance in advance or at least the day before you need the plan to start or become effective.Visitor plans will cover for new illnesses and new injuries that are contracted after the effective date. They do not cover for preventative care routine maintenance or pre-existing conditions with the exception of acute onset of pre-existing condition benefits on some plans. Q:For US citizens residing abroad, but returning to the US for an extended period, let's say 6 months, what are their options for insurance? It seems like visitors insurance is a lot less expensive than an ACA plan, but it's rather difficult to ascertain.

A:
A popular plan that US citizens visiting the US are eligible for would be the Patriot America Plus plan. This plan will cover you anywhere outside your home/resident country. Be advised that none of out plans are ACA compliant. You can learn more about this plan and make a purchase using the link below. https://www.insubuy.com/patriot-america-plus-insurance/ If you have any additional questions please let us know.

Q:Im 63 years old and I was on visit in NYC with daughter . My daughter applied for my Green Card and the Process is in Progress. I need a medical insurance for my Blood work & medication . Please let me know Which visitor Medical insurance is good for covering my Doctor visit also my Medicine cost .How much Premium i have to pay if i take a medical insurance to cover my medical health and medication cost as Im Type 2 Diabetic patient .

A:
Visitors plans are designed to cover any new illnesses or injuries that occur after the effective date of the policy. Because the bloodwork and medication you are referring to are not related to a new injury or new illness there would be no coverage. Also, most visitor plans are not available to people in adjustment of status. For the blood work and medication you are needing, you would need to pay out of pocket. If you have any additional questions please let us know.
