Q:I am going to study in Fordham University (NY) next week, and they ask me for a health insurance with unlimited coveraged, Do you have any one?

A:
Unfortunately, there would not be a plan that we could offer that would be sufficient in that regard. It would be recommended to purchase a plan offered through your university. Should you have additional questions you may also call our office at +1 (866) 467-8289.

Q:I entered US January 2016. Understood I could apply for Medicare when I had been here 5 years. At present insured through Marketplace. Telephoned Medicare in December was told to ring again in January. In January was told since I did not become a Permanent Resident until 13 January 2016 I should apply in March for 2022. In March I was given all the information about costs and informed that I had until 1 September to formally apply to enrol. I phoned in June to enrol and was given 13 August appointment. Had conversation today 13 August and was told I would start paying today if I enrolled now or I should ring again in December for cover to begin in August 2022. My question now is if cover does not begin until August 2022 I will need to insure again through Markerplace but since I will be eligible for Medicare will I be penalized because I will appear to have not accepted Medicare when I could have.

A:
We would be unable to advise on this situation as we do not offer domestic insurance. You will want to verify this with a tax professional if you think you may be penalized. Have a great day!
