Q:US citizen immigrating to the U.S. I will be coming to the usa in the next couple of mos. Can I use a uk address? or do I need to wait till I have a address in the us to apply. thank you

A:
Which insurance plan are you planning to purchase? Hello, as my age is 65 and I have a usa/uk passport and have not lived in the usa for 40 years, I was told the bridge plan could be the one for me, if so do I need a American address before I buy a healthcare plan or can I buy before I leave the uk? I am in very good health, we are come later this year or early next thank you for your help and look forward to your answer Hello, You would apply once you arrive in the US. Medical exam is required for this plan therefore, you would have to be in the US. Bridge plan is major medical plan. Once you apply for this insurance you need to go through medical examination. So it would be best once you arrive in USA you should apply for the bridge plan. Bridge plan brochure, application and other useful information, /bridge-plan-insurance/ Please review the brochure and if you have any further questions, please let me know. If you short term insurance while you approved for Bridge plan. YOu can purchase International major medical plan. Unfortunately there is no insurance exist that will cover whatever you are trying to cover. It's pure loss for the insurance company. You will not find any plan. You have to pay from your pocket.

Q:Insurance for college student's family I am a college student in the US and currently looking for health insurance for my wife (31 years old) and son (3 years old). Can you recommend a few insurances? Thanks, They have been in the U.S. since end of July 2010. They had insurance since they came until the end of May. It was Blue Cross Blue Shield offered by UT employee. I am looking for a more affordable insurance.

A:
They are not eligible for visitors insurance plan. They had Blue Cross insurance in past. Medical is very expensive in this country and if you go for this plan and when you have claim your claim will be denied. So you need to purchase insurance for whatever insurance you are eligible for. NOT whatever you want to buy.

Q:Atlas America Insurance Hi, I would like to know if Atlas America Insurance company is a USA based company or not? Also, I saw that Iran is in the country restrictions list. Does that mean that Iranian citizens can't have Atlas America insurance in USA while they are visiting? or they can't have it when they are in Iran? Thanks,

A:

Q:Traveler's Insurance related question Hi, I need your help to understand whether the insurance that I purchased is the right one and sufficient. Yesterday I purchased the following product from your web-site Coverage Plan: Comprehensive Product: Atlas America Policy Max: $200K Deductible: $1K State: CA My father's particulars: Age: 66 Citizenship: Indian I had the following questions: 1.) Coverage Area - I specified the 'Coverage Area' area as "International including USA". - I chose this option as opposed to "USA" (even though my father is directly coming to the US and not make any stopovers anywhere) because he has a stopover in Hong Kong - I hope this is fine. If not then please let me know and I will change the 'Coverage Area' area to "USA". 2.) California: - It seems Lloyds' surplus line of insurance is not one of the companies backed by CA state government. - We live in CA, do you think this should be a matter of concern? I think this is a good plan, please let me know otherwise. Please let me know if I should take any precaution or keep any particular thing in mind. Thank you.
