Q:Patriot America plus vs Atlas America Hi, I am looking for a visitors insurance, in dilemma between Patriot America plus & Atlas America. In Patriot America plus, if i take my mother for severe fever to urgent care(outpatient), should i pay the deductible(250 0r 500$)? or only the copay? and also the chances of billing directly in Atlas america? If chances are low, i need to pay 20% on 5000$

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. Short term health insurance plans have no concept of a copayment with the exception of the Atlas America when visiting the urgent care facility. With the Patriot America Plus you would pay all expenses out of pocket until you reach your deductible amount. Next the coinsurance would apply for the first $5,000 dollars whether you are in or out of network. Then the plan will pay the remaining cost 100 percent up to the policy maximum you select for covered expenses. With the Atlas America plan If the provider chooses not to bill directly you are responsible for 20% of the first $5,000 in covered expenses after the deducible or copayment. One of the benefits of going to a network provider is direct billing. Most of the time the provider should bill the insurance directly if they are in in-network. Please do keep in mind, direct billing is solely up to the provider so they can also decline to bill directly. In this case you would pay for the expenses out of pocket, and file a claim for reimbursement. If you have any additional questions please let us know. Q:Nanny medical coverage I need to cover my nanny for medical insurance asap she is in a B1 visa and I'm on a L1 a Work permit if your able to help please do let me know. Would i Be able to purchase maternity cover for her for a higher premium ?. Regards

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. As a visitor into the United States there are a few options for insurance that she would be eligible for. However, there is no plan that will cover the cost of maternity for a visitor. The normal expenses related to pregnancy would be paid for out of pocket from, routine doctor visits to labor and delivery and all that falls within. If eligible there are plans that at most would cover pregnancy complication up to 26 weeks. ( please see the link to the pregnancy FAQ below). Please review the available plans on the Insubuy website and feel free to contact our office if you have any further questions. Q:Pregnancy medical insurance I have a few questions before I purchase travelers insurance. My wife and I are traveling to the US from 05/01/2016 to 07/19/2016. I would like a plan that could have us both covered for that period of time. My wife is currently pregnant and she is due 08/02/2016 but we are planning to come back from the US before that date (07/19/2016). Honestly I am mainly getting the insurance for my wife because if anything happens she is covered. My questions are: 1-Can I purchase an Insurance policy for my wife if she is pregnant? If so: 2-Could that cover any emergencies related to pregnancy? 3-In the theoretical scenario that my wife gives birth during our trip, will that be covered by the policy? I definitely would like to get answers to this questions because I do not want to look like I am trying to take advantage of this. I want to fully disclose my situation before getting the Travelers Insurance. Thank you for your attention to this email.

Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. As it pertains to pregnancy there are no plans that will cover the cost of maternity or labor and delivery for your wife while she will be here. This would be an expense that you would pay for out of pocket. Certain plans if eligible would only cover at most for pregnancy complications up to 26 weeks ( please see the FAQ below for more information). Any plan purchased would only cover for any new accident or new illness that occurs after the effective date of the policy unrelated to pre-existing conditions. Q:Travel insurance for visiting USA My father and I are wanting to visit family in the USA, for 2 weeks, from Australia. I am wanting to get travel insurance or at least medical insurance for my 84 year old father. He had coronary bypass 4 years ago. No further complications - on medication which has not changed over the last couple years. Will you cover him for this. He is not required to see a specialist regarding his bypass or heart function. He is very stable. We only want to have cover 'in case' and to be 'safe' if anything did happen - the reason for taking out insurance!

Q:Visitors Care - Query regarding mailing fulfillment kit Hi, I am interested in purchasing the Visitors care plan. I'll be in the US as a visitor from Jan 10th to May 25th 2016. If I buy the plan now, when will the kit reach me? If it reaches before the 11th, it would be hard for me to receive it as I won't be there. If it'll reach later than that, it'd be very helpful. Could you please let me know what to do?
