Q:Unfortunately, when I was trying to get a policy from the new immigrant section, in the application form it asked me for a date they expect to return to home country...but they are probably going to stay in the US permanently so I cannot fill that out.

A:
Date of return to home country will be the expiration date of the insurance. Date of return to home country doesn't mean that they have to leave the country by that day. You can also extend the insurance for them.

Q:I am an American citizen currently living in Madrid, Spain. I currently have health insurance covering my stay in Madrid until August 14, 2017, but I will need additional coverage to cover my time in Madrid until the end of September 2017. According to the Spanish government, I need a plan that follows these guidelines: "Insurance coverage for urgent medical expenses and repatriation due to accident or sudden illness. Minimum coverage $50,000 with no deductible." After looking through some options on the Insubuy site, I had some questions in regard to the insurance plan I should choose: 1. When I look at the plans on the Insubuy website, all I see are policy maximums. If the minimum coverage I need is $50,000, how do I know which plan to select? Is the minimum coverage the same as the policy maximum? 2. How do I know if the plan covers repatriation? 3. Upon purchase of the insurance plan online with Insubuy, do I get a document that confirms my insurance and the details of my plan? Can that document be sent my email immediately? (I would need to show this document to the Spanish government for visa purposes)

Q:Hello, I'm currently in the US on L2 visa and have enrolled in the school, currently in my second semester. I have applied change of status to F1 visa. I'm not employed but a full time student. Would I still be able to purchase insurance from insubuy or do I have to wait until the Change of Status to F1 is complete. If student insurance is not possible, would I be able to purchase visitor insurance until my F1 is approved? I've been on my spouse insurance for the past 2+ years until she moved out of the US recently. The insurance provider was Cigna Global.

A:
As you have prior domestic insurance. You have to purchase domestic short term plan until you have an approved F1 visa. Once you are on F1 visa. You can purchase International Student insurance. If you have any insurance requirements from your school. Please send it to us in pdf attachment so that we can suggest appropriate plan that meet your school requirements.
