Q:If we travel to Cancun and diagnosed with Co-Vid while there (1 week) or test positive before leaving and have to be quarantined....will the insurance pay for our 14 day quarantine (lodging and food)?

A:
There would not be plan on the market that will cover the expenses incurred if you are required to quarantine. The plans that offer the COVID-19 coverage are for medical expenses in case it were to manifest in the body after the effective date of the policy. Should you have further questions or need additional assistance please call our office at (866) 467-8289.

Q:I am on OPT F1 employed and in the process of getting H1B visa. Please advice which health insurance plan I can get.

A:
Thank you for contacting us for your insurance needs. Although it is recommended to purchase the insurance if available through your employer, you may purchase a short term medical plan as well, such as the National General plan. This plan is state specific and will not allow coverage in every state. It also has restrictions on the duration you can have the insurance. For further assistance we would recommend you call our office as there may be additional plans that could offer you coverage. Our phone number is (866) 467-8289. Keep in mind that all the plans on the market will cover the same things. They will cover the new illnesses and injuries that manifest in the body after the effective date of the policy. Pre-existing conditions, preventative and routine care are excluded under the plans. If you require further information on coverage and plans available please let us know and we will gladly assist.
