Q:International Student Health Insurance I received your email above and I have now checked the information. I understand that the amount would be 636$ for the 10 months starting from March 1st, 2016 through December 31, 2016. Yes, she is under an F2 visa. I also understand that she will have to pay a first deductible of 100$ per incident. Is that applied for a routine medical/dental check with a pediatrician for example? I would like to express my will to enroll/purchase this plan for my daughter. Please let me know how I should proceed to make it happen by March 01, 2016.

A:
The plan does not cover for routine medical exams or dental. You would have to pay for those services out of pocket. The plan will cover any new illness or injury that occurs after the effective date of the plan. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office. Once you are ready to purchase the plan you can click on the instant purchase button and proceed through the application online or you can call our office and our agents will be able to assist you over the phone.

Q:J2 visa insurance I am currently in the US on a J1 trainee visa through the Cultural vistas program. The company I work for is Siemens. My husband, Diego Gonzalez, will hopefully join me on a J2 visa. Please find attached the application form for his J2 visa with Cultural vistas, which outlines his (page 2) and my details (page 5), as well as the health insurance requirements for him (page 5). The application form must be signed by his insurance carrier in order for it to be complete (page 5). We purchased insurance which we believe meets these requirements (the insurance certificate number is PATAI...) Please advise us if this insurance is sufficient, and if not, which insurance we should purchase? If it is sufficient, we would greatly appreciate the form being signed and returned as soon as possible. Thank you for your time. Kind regards,

Q:Health Insurance for J2-Holders Hello, I would like to ask you if it is possible to purchase a Health Insurance JUST for a J2-Visa Holder. I don't know yet when exactly my wife is going to arrive in the US. Besides it would have to be a plan that fulfills the following requirements: Insurance Requirements for Exchange Visitors ________________________________________ Minimum coverage shall provide 1. Medical benefits of at least $100,000 per accident or illness; 2. Repatriation of remains in the amount of $25,000; 3. Expenses associated with the medical evacuation of the ex¬change visitor to his or her home country in the amount of $50,000; and 4. A deductible not to exceed $500 per accident or illness. An insurance policy secured to fulfill the requirements of this section: 1. May require a waiting period for pre-existing conditions which is reasonable as determined by current industry standards. The University has determined the current industry standard to be 6 months or less. 2. May include provision for co-insurance under the terms of which the exchange visitor may be required to pay up to 25% of the covered benefits per accident or illness; and 3. Shall not unreasonably exclude coverage for perils inherent to the activities of the exchange program in which the exchange visitor participates.
