A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Visitors medical insurance will cover a new illness, injury or accident which occurs after the effective date of the policy. Q:I am on Aetna plan from my school along with my wife on F1 and F2 visa, now the schools are not offering my wife to renew her plan and her plan is getting expired next month on 6th . I was wondering if i can buy additional plan for both if us from you, however i was wondering if that plan is going to cover day to day medicine and doctors visit instantly and without filing claim later.

A:
If you purchase insurance outside your school will cover for any new sickness, injuries or accidents that may occur after the effective date of the policy. It will not cover any preventive care or pre-existing conditions and maternity. I would suggest you can purchase insurance from your school and for your wife you can purchase insurance through our International Student Insurance section. Please enter appropriate criteria. You will find many plans and you can compare them side by side.
