A:
Unfortunately none of our travel insurance plans cover for preventive care such as vaccines. The plans are mainly for new illnesses or injuries that did not exist before the start date. Q:My mother is visiting USA and had an angioplasty in 2019. She is taking her regular medication and after the first episode of heart attack, she has not another heart attack. While she is in USA, if she has a heart attack and receives immediate medical attention, will it be covered by acute onset of preexisting condition?

A:
Coverage is always determined based on the attending physicians notes and medical records. We are unable to guarantee a future occurrence due to a pre-existing condition would be covered. If an occurrence meets the Acute Onset of Pre-existing Conditions definition than it could receive coverage. If you have any additional questions please give us a call at 1(866) 467-8289.
