Q:Can you please explain about doctors visit or hospital visit using Atlas America/Patriot America as I have never used the insurance ? For example Is there is in-network and out-of-network hospitals or doctors for these insurance plans ? Can I get specialist appointment in hospitals or would I have to go through a primary care doctor

A:
Both the Atlas America and the Patriot America Plus have a PPO network. You can go to any doctor and no referrals are required by the insurance. It is recommended that you go to an in-network provider to get the negotiated rates. The plans will cover any new illness or injury that occurs after the effective date of the policy and do not cover any pre-existing conditions preventative care or routine maintenance. If you do go to a doctor then you would pay out of pocket until the deductible is met then the plan will pay a percentage. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.
