Q:I am a student currently studying in US. I'd like to apply for Schengen Visa. I am going to Europe including Spain, Italy, France, Ireland, England. If I am going to stay in Ireland for the longest time, should I mention my main destination is Ireland?

A:
We would be glad to advise. On some policies you can list all countries, otherwise you would state the Schengen country whose consulate you will be applying. Therefore, if you're applying for the visa at the French consulate, you would list France. The visa letter provided for you to take to the consulate after purchase will advise you have coverage anywhere outside your home country (which is currently the U.S.) including travel, and all Schengen countries. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:Hello. I am currently 6 and a half weeks pregnant and have been planning an extended visit to the US from Canada for a few months now. The pregnancy is unexpected. I have planned to arrive in mid December and leave sometime in early April. I have been researching but have not found a definitive answer to my questions. Will I be able to purchase insurance coverage that will cover any routine doctors appointments and testing as well as any pregnancy related complications while i am in the US? I am a Canadian citizen and the baby's father is a US citizen. I will be visiting Vermont where the baby's father lives. Thank you for your information.

A:
There is no plan on the market that you can purchase that will cover routine visits for your pregnancy. There are a couple of plans that will cover pregnancy complications up to 26 weeks but that plan cannot be purchased while you are in Canada. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I'm an international student starting for the spring 2019. I am interested purchasing Exchange Guard Summary for the one year Jan. 7, 2019 to Dec. 13, 2019. Could you please let me know what are the payment options? Do you have monthly payments or installment plan?

A:
For the ExchangeGuardyou pay for the dates you choose. If you enter the dates until 12/13/19 then you will pay the full amount or if you enter the dates for one month you will pay for one month but your documentation will reflect coverage for one month. If they require you to show coverage until 12/13/19 then you will have to pay the full amount

Q:While completing Study USA Preferred 500 form, I was a little bit confused on filling out student information, as the website automatically put 'Florida' as part of my address. Should I put my Korean address or should I wait until I get dorm information?

A:
If the application is asking for a mailing address, then you would want to put in the Florida address in which you will be receiving mail. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Q:I have been looking at your policies to cover our visit to the USA to visit our son and family. Am I right in thinking that as we are both over 70 that we cannot get cover for prexisting conditions or is there an option to cover us ( ages now 74 & 73) in some other way Thank you Sincerely

A:
We would be glad to assist. We do have visitor plans that can provide coverage to you for new illnesses and new injuries that occur or manifest after the effective date. There are no plans on the market for visitors that will cover pre-existing conditions. Some plans do offer an acute onset of pre-existing condition coverage, which is a possibility of coverage in certain situations of acute onset. Below I have attached the link for our quote screen for visitor plans. We do recommend the comprehensive plans, and the comprehensive plans can provide up to $250,000 worth of coverage for someone over 70. I have also attached our FAQ from our website guide for Acute onset, to provide additional information about that benefit. The plan I would recommend, would be the Atlas America plan. It is a comprehensive plan, that offers up to the $250,000 for people ages 70-79, and also includes the acute onset benefit as well. If you have any questions, or need any additional assistance, please let us know.
