Q:Age of Insured Question: Visitor Insurance Hi, I have a question about age. My mom is coming to the U.S.. I would like to buy her an insurance that will start on Sep 12 and end on Nov 15. She is 69 now and her birthday will be in Oct.. So, when I buy the insurance for her, I think her age should be "65-69", since the insurance start date is Sep 12 and she will not be 70 yet at that time. Please confirm it with me if my understanding is correct. Thanks!

A:

Q:Visitor Insurance for Family We're a family of four (our kids are 2,5 years and 1,5 months) and I'm looking for a medical health cover and insurance during our 3 months long stay in NYC starting 8th Sept 2016. We are non-US citizens (from Budapest, Hungary). It's important that we'd like to get my daughter vaccinated and bring her to the necessary well-baby visits while we're there. Please advise which plan would be suitable for us. Thank you,

A:
Unfortunately, there is no short term plan which covers immunization for an international visitor. If you need, you will be responsible for all the expense related to that visit. Short term plan covers any new sickness, injuries or accidents that may occur after the effective date of the policy. It does not cover any pre-existing or preventive care. However, some plan provides coverage for an acute onset of pre-ex. Please find more information at, /visitor-insurance-acute-onset-of-pre-existing-conditions/ You can purchase Atlas America plan. Which is family friendly plan. Means if one parent insured child under 9yrs will get insurance at no cost. Q:Fixed Coverage Plan Questions Please explain the wording difference between "VISITORS CARE $50,000 Max per life of plan" and "INBOUND GUEST $50,000 Max per injury/sickness" (Does it mean the INBOUND GUEST plan will pay $50K max per injury regardless of how many injuries one has during the life of his/her plan?). Thanks.

A:
Hello, Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The Visitors care plan will pay one flat benefit of$50,000 dollars once that benefit is exhausted the plan is done. The Inbound Guest plan will pay its benefit per incident so this means you will have that $50,000 benefit each incident for coverage. Q:Travel insurance question Hello, I am comparing visitor medical insurance on your website and I have a question regarding coverage. What is your definition of "spouse" for the coverage application? I would like to purchase insurance for both myself and my partner, however we are not officially married. Does the fact that we live and travel together mean that I am eligible for coverage as a package? Or do we have to apply separately for insurance? Thank you for your assistance.

A:
Hello, Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. For the application if you are not legally married then you will need to complete separate applications for coverage. Please feel free to contact our office.

Q:Atlas International Insurance: detailed questions Hello Insubuy team, In response to my query and your response dated 18 August 2016, I have the following queries, after reading the "certificate wording" document.: 1) Is the ATLAS INTERNATIONAL policy for US citizens only, or for a person of any nationality? 2) Does this ATLAS INTERNATIONAL policy apply to Schengen region/visa-holders only, or for anywhere in the world, except USA? 3) In the "certificate wording"and "Brochure"document, there is no mention of the altitude till which a trekking activity is covered by Atlas. Can you let me know the altitude limit which is covered? 4) Page # 11-12 in the "certificate wording"document contains paragraphs on "Emergency medical evacuation". Is this service provided within the premium cost of basic coverage (as found in the "Quotes and Purchase" section) or is there any additional amount to be paid extra to be covered under "Emergency medical evacuation"? Please confirm. 5) What is the process for pre-authorization/approval before an emergency medical evacuation? Do I need to call to a particular number to inform the situation? If yes, what's the number and is that line available 24*7 ? 6) Who arranges/contacts a local agency for emergency evacuation vehicle such as a ground vehicle or a helicopter? 7) Is there a group policy? Or do we need to purchase individual policies only from Atlas? Thank you for clarifying doubts. We are 7 team members for trekking activity to be done in Nepal Himalayas. We would take a call after understanding the Insubuy/Atlas policies.
