Q:u.s.a. resident already in the u.k. wants to travel to Poland, with pre existing condition, is there any policy you can offer for him for Poland?

A:
We have travel medical plans that can cover someone traveling outside their home country and some that can be purchased during travel, after departure from home country. However, we do not have a plan that can provide coverage for pre-existing conditions outside of some plans providing some acute onset benefits because they have already departed their home country. Here are a couple of recommended plans that include acute onset benefits: /atlas-international-insurance/ /patriot-international-lite-insurance/ /safe-travels-outbound/travel-health-insurance/ Here is our FAQ regarding acute onset benefits for you to review: /visitor-insurance-acute-onset-of-pre-existing-conditions/ If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:My family and I are traveling to the UK for 4 months. We live in Japan, and we will be leaving from here and returning to Japan at the end of this trip. (We have permanent residency here.) I and my two sons have UK and US dual citizenship. My wife is a US citizen. I was looking at the Atlas policy and was about to purchase it, but I was concerned as three of us have UK citizenship and we are traveling to the UK. Will this be OK?

A:
The Atlas International plan will cover someone anywhere outside of their home country, excluding the U.S. Home country is where you have principal residence and per the information provided below, that would be Japan. Citizenship would have nothing to do with the coverage. Please let us know if you have additional questions.

I will be traveling within the us for the summer. Can I buy a visitors plan for my family even tho we all have US passports At the time we will not have a residence in the US. Im just looking for one month of coverage just in the event of an emergency. We will not need any other care.

If you are U.S. citizens, we have one plan that can provide temporary coverage.
