Q:Scenario 1 - I buy insurance for 4 months. Scenario 2 - If I buy insurance for 3 months and then extend for 1 more month.Would I be paying effectively same total amount in both these scenarios provided no other changes happening during this period like pre-existing condition, age change etc.

A:
Effectively, yes. There is a $5 extension fee on most plans. However, plans are going to have the same price per day no matter how long you buy it. Be advised that the price of a policy will not change due to a claim. If you have any additional questions please let us know.

A:
You can run a quote in the Visitors to U.S.A section of our website for plans that will cover you while in Canada and the USA. To insure that they do, while running a quote, you can select "International including USA" under the "Coverage Area" drop down. This will not affect the price of your premium, it only acts as a filter. Due to the fact that they have different travel dates it is recommended that they purchase separate plans. A popular plan for that age is Patriot America Plus. This plan will cover for new injuries or illnesses anywhere outside your home country. If you have any additional questions please let us know.

Q:Allergies need medication

A:
We would need more information before advising on this. Plans are designed to cover any new illness or injuries that were to occur after the effective date of the policy. No plans on the market will cover preventative care, or routine maintenance. Coverage will always be determined at the time of service based on the attending physicians notes.
