Q:Hello, I am a USA citizen that has been working in South Africa for the past year. I intend to stay here for at least another 6 months, and as I am changing jobs, my existing insurance policy through CISI is ending. I would like to purchase insurance for the remainder of my time here. I will be traveling back to the USA on 5 July 2016 to renew my visa, and I need to show proof of insurance coverage for this application. I will be in the USA from 6 July 2017 - 1 August 2017, and then returning to South Africa until 01 Feb 2018. I am also going to return for a short visit to the USA from 13 Sept 2017 - 1 Oct 2017. Do you offer any plans that would cover health insurance for me while in South Africa as well as for my two short trips to the USA? If not, what plan would you recommend for me that would cover me for South Africa? I am a healthy 30 year old female with no pre-existing conditions.

A:

Also, I have my spouse here, she is enrolled in my plan now, but she will deliver our baby in the August, so the new insurance may good to cover her.

A:
There are plans that will cover an International on OPT to include their dependents. However, there is no plan on the market outside of your current plan from your University that will cover the delivery or any related expenses. Please feel free to contact our office if you would like to see the available options for your that will not include any maternity coverage.

Q:I'm planning to purchase insurance for my father in law, but there are two different charges . From the plan charges to check out charges. Please let me know which charges I will be billed.

A:
The pricing in the quoting screen should match the application. Please be sure you are selecting the same exact coverage limits. In one image, you have selected a $100,000 policy maximum and in the second a $1,000,000 policy max was chosen. As long as you choose the same limits, the age group is correct, and the coverage dates are the same the pricing on the quoting screen will be the same as the application. If you have any additional questions please let us know. You may also obtain assistance by contacting our office at (866) INSUBUY.
