Q:US citizens living in Nicaragua wanting to travel to Argentina in March. Can we get a quote for 21 days. Our ages are 74 female and 67 male years old. We are fully vaccinated and want Covid Travel insurance, trip cancellation with quarantine coverage.

A:
If you are a U.S. citizen, but live in Nicaragua meaning it is your home country where you have a principle residence, you can purchase this plan that can provide medical insurance for new illnesses and new injuries that manifest or occur after the effective date including Covid-19 and provide quarantine benefits: /safe-travels-international-insurance/ However, the plans we have will not provide trip cancellation benefits for non U.S. residents. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:I am from Canada and would like to purchase insurance for travel to the US for a family member with a pre-existing condition. The Atlas America (underwriter Lloyd's), appears to be the best policy. It stated we were unable to purchase until we arrived in the US, and did so just a few hours ago. I just want to be clear about what the deductible means? It doesn't seem to clearly state how this is applied for travel.

A:
Deductible means the amount you would pay out of pocket first for covered expenses before the plan would start paying benefits. Also, the plans do not cover pre-existing conditions, but instead can include Acute onset benefits of a pre-existing condition. /visitor-insurance-acute-onset-of-pre-existing-conditions/ If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:Where should a visitor go if they test covid 19 positive with mild symptoms

A:
If someone is sick, you would need to take them to a Dr. Only if a Dr. recommends a test based on someone's symptoms could it be covered if it were to be determined to be contracted after the effective date of the policy. If it were to be determined to have been contracted before the effective date, there would be no coverage for testing or treatment. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
