Q:Please suggest a travel insurance fixed plan for me travelling from India to USA on visitor visa.

A:
The available plans can be found on our website in the link below: Visitors To The USA The fixed plans are very basic, they will pay a fixed amount according to a schedule of benefits so if anything happens the majority of the cost will come from your pocket. Once you have entered the required information for the quote and clicked on get quotes you will see a small box at the top of each plan. Click on that box for several of the plans and then click on compare and it will line the plans up side by side so you can see what each plan offers. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I'm looking to buy medical insurance while I'm traveling in Europe for 6 weeks this fall. I will likely be in 5-6 countries, but the initial form asked for the primary country visiting. If I choose just one, will I still be covered in the rest? (I'll be in Western Europe the entire time.)

A:
Yes, the plans in the Travel Outside of the USA will cover you everywhere outside of your home country/country of citizenship. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I've read the pre-existing conditions information and it is all clear. So if I've understood correctly, if my son breaks his arm or I get acute food poisoning or we are in a car accident, we would be fully covered for all of these things? Am I right to think that if we get in a car accident with the 0 deductible plan and have emergency bills, they will be fully covered up until the maximum amount we select per person? What would happen if we got in a car accident that kept us in the hospital for longer than the date of our coverage? (we are supposed to go back to France on January 11th, so if we were in an accident the 10th and had to be hospitalized, what would we be covered for? ) Lastly, am I correct in assuming that if I lose my contact lenses and need new ones, that would NOT be covered since I had a vision impairment before coming?

A:
The plans will cover the new accidents and new illnesses that happen after the effective date of the policy. So if someone was to slip and fall or get food poisoning that is what the plans are designed to cover the new instances that happen after the effective date. The plan will cover up to the selected policy maximum for the eligible expense. Beyond the covered effective dates you are able to renew the plan as long as it is before the expiration date so if you are admitted in the hospital and you are going to need coverage for the additional days you can renew the policy. If continued coverage is needed in the home country some plans will offer a benefit period for he covered illness or injury if needed. The plan will not cover any cost related to the vision or dental that is considered to be routine. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:In the past, as tourists, my wife and I have purchased your Atlas America insurance for visitors. Now, in about 10 days, we will arrive in the USA to claim our green cards, which we got through the lottery system. We originally planned to buy Atlas America for the period of two months (as I will later get a job plus benefits for both as soon as I sort out all the paperwork), but then I saw your International Major Medical Insurance for new immigrants. And therefore, I have a question in order not to purchase wrong insurance. Since we will enter the USA on October 30, but we will receive our social security numbers and green cards a few weeks later (3-4 weeks), do we qualify as new immigrants right from the beginning in your system? Or only after we receive SSN and Green Card? Therefore, do we purchase Atlas America, or International Major Medical Insurance?

A:
Based on the information provided you would not be eligible for the Atlas America plan as you are considered a new immigrant. We would recommend purchasing the International Major Medical plan in your situation. You may purchase this plan online using the link provided below or over the phone by contacting our office at +1 (866) INSUBUY.
